well, i'm a bit of a snob when it comes to teas...good tea doesn't require sugar...
-was pissed at the members of her trip when they put sugar in the green and jasmine tea in taiwan-
I was drinking that just fine! and they went and ruined the whole pot >.>

Andy by crystallized, I mean that it was this big resealable pouch of what looked like pale amber flaky powder. It was amazing. I'd like to get some again, when I've got the cash.

I guess it also depends on where you grew up and if you normally have tea. Because I didn't this is more of a recent thing for me. So I automatically have always added some sugar.
But if you already grew up with having plain tea then, you're just used to it by now. I guess I personally don't mind, to each their own!
Also that is rude to put sugar in the pot everyone is drinking out of, just put it in your own cup. :/

I'm going to try to multitask and post here in between levels of Fangirls. Trying to save gold during an event is always a losing battle.

Taiwan was AMAZING. I want to live there when I graduate D;
well, some teas are meant not to be drank with sugar, like most Asian teas, while most American/British teas are weaker, and need sugar; So i put a lot of sugar in the teas that need it, but not in the strong teas like oolong that have plenty of flavor without it.
I guess, the main issue i had was when you have really good oolong, jasmine, green tea, you are covering up the flavor when you add sugar; and also, while in Taiwan it really makes everyone look like silly foreigners >.> at least, while there everyone should try it plain, and learn the culture.
Not to say all the teas there weren't sweetened. Zhenzhunaiche/Bubble tea is very sweet and delicious too!

Is it hard to make? There's a place in the food court of a mall I go to occasionally that has Bubble Tea. But I've never tried it.
Thai Tea, now that is an amazing confection of a drink. I can never quite replicate it at home, even though I'm using the right ingredients. It just isn't the same when I try.

I don't think I've had any proper GOOD asian tea. I'd have to see for myself if I get at some sometime. xD

I just add sugar to help out, because they taste a tad bitter or bland without it. To me at least. But thats just probably because the tea isn't that great. Which is why I want to start getting some loose leaf tea, they are higher quality and better tasting.

Paprika, go to an asian store!
i can give you some characthers to look for if you'd like
me too hummy!
well, there's two ways to make it; yes, the Zhenju/bubbles are tapioca ball things...lemme get a picture, and the tea/naiche is milk tea;
it's red tea mixed with condensed milk! However, you can get just milk tea powder things which I use!
