Flare smiled. She felt happier than she had in a long time. She had a niece....sort of and she met a new person that she felt she could get very close to. Frost chuckled and walked out with Kara almost pushing him. Flare followed behind with a smile on her face.

"Alright... dinner or shopping first? Will Void be alright by himself? He probably will, but just wanted to make sure" Kara wondered as they began walking towards the city, her hand in Frost's.

Flare perked up at the mention of Void. "Oh. Void will want to meet Sweet Pea and Everest....do you think that would be alright?" Frost thought for a moment, then shrugged. "He won't eat any of them, if that's what you meant." Flare punched Frost's arm and pouted. "Thats not what I meant at all."

Kara giggled "I'm sure it'll be fine, as long as he doesn't cause any stress or strife" she answered. "So what's going on with you and Everest, Flare? I noticed you two were getting pretty close" she asked.

Flare blinked up at Kara, then smiled a little. "Nothing really...we just talked and sat together." She wasn't going to pour her heart out to this girl. Frost might be able to, but she wasn't. She also had more self pride than to be gossiping about someone like that. Frost just chuckled softly beside her.

Kara chuckled "suuuuure..." she drew out. She was almost certain that there was more to it than what Flare let on, but she wasn't going to go into it. "OOOH! Sweet Pea LOVES this store! Come on! They're having a sale!" Kara squeaked as her eyes landed on the advertizement. "Hmmmm... I promised her a gift for being so brave today, and I need something for her birthday... hmmm... She already has a doll. Ohhhh... This is perfect for her!" she marveled, holding up and admiring a hair bow. "Now... for the other gift.." she mused as she scanned the contents of the aisles. She glanced at Flare and Frost "what are you two thinking about?" she asked.

Flare and Frost froze when she looked at them. Flare looked away then, looking like she was trying to be inconpicuos. Frost seemed to be picking dirt from under his nails. They'd been thinking the same thing, but niether would say it to Kara.

Kara narrowed her eyes at them "fine. If you won't be of use, then I'll do my shopping alone" she snapped and walked off, determined not to talk to them. It was an innocent question! Honestly! Kara huffed with annoyance as she browsed the costumes. Sweet Pea would probably love a pretty dress, but would it be practical? Ohh!!! Now... which one would go with the hair bow? Ohhh.... so pretty. This dress would be the perfect birthday dress. Kara gathered her items and floated to the counter, purposefully ignoring Frost and Flare when she passed them.

Frost and Flare stared at her when she floated past them like that. Flare soon pouted. Why was Kara ignoring them?

Kara paid for her items and then looked back at Frost and Flare, a debate going on in her head. Did she want to go home or wait here and return home with them. She'd probably get lost if she went home by herself. As much as she hated to do it, because she was still mad at them, she grudgingly floated back to them and sat on a nearby bench. Jerks.

Flare looked sort of pissed now. Frost was about to stop her, but she walked over to Kara. "What's your issue? You're ignoring us like we're scum of the earth, because we wouldn't tell you what we were thinking. I thought you were in pixie support to end the mistreatment of others."

Kara glared at Flare "I'm ignoring you because I'm hurt that you wouldn't bother to look at me or even give a small response! You ignored me first! All I wanted to know is what you were thinking about for a gift for Sweet Pea, if you didn't want to tell me, then tell me that! Don't turn away and ignore me! Now you know how I feel!" she shot back before she turned away.

Flare growled softly at her, then turned and stormed out of the building. Frost soon looked conflicted. Should he follow after Flare? Or stay and make up with Kara? He sighed and went over to Kara, pulling her to her feet. "You can be angry all you want. Ok? But we have to go after her. If she gets lost or hurt, it'll be my fault."

Kara pushed Frost away "then go after her! You know what, I don't care if I manage to lose my way, I'll find your place soon enough. I'll see you there, go take care of your sister" she shot back and zipped out of the store, heading in the general direction of where she thought Frost's house would be. Ah! There it was. She entered and slammed the door, her eyes searching.. ah! There he was.

Kara's anger melted away "Void... please listen to what I'm about to say with an open mind enough to know that anything I say against your brother is because I'm really hurt" she pleaded and sat down next to him. "Why is he such a jerk? I mean... he's just wonderful, and then we were shopping a little while ago, and he totally ignored me! Actually, he and Flare ignored me! I'm justified in ignoring them after that because I was hurt. And instead of leaving me alone so they could shop and I could cool off, Flare gets all up in my face, yelling about what I did, which made it ten times worse! Then when I shoot back my stance on it--irritated from her accusation--she storms out. Don't worry, Frost is going after her" She paused in her ranting to let reality set in in an attempt to calm down, but that made it even worse.

"What's worse, is Sweet Pea's birthday is tomorrow and she's going to be upset if Frost and I are fighting, and I don't want her to be upset on her birthday, and then Flare's going to be mad at me too, and you're probably mad at me because you're loyal to your family which is good, and they're all mad at me, so of course you're mad at me. And I... I love them I'm just really hurt" she whimpered, tears coming to her eyes. "I'm sorry... but if there was ever a time I needed to cry over your brother, it's now" she apologized, knowing he didn't like it when she cried.

Frost blinked at her viciousness, then shrugged and went after Flare. He found her wandering and chuckled. "You know you shouldn't do that until you learn your way around town." Flare sighed and hugged him gently. "She just made me...so angry." Flare, as her name hinted, had a firey temper.

Void looked up with surprise when Kara came inside and sat next to him. "Ok...shoot." He was all up for listening. He looked at her blandly until she was finished babbling. "Ok. First of all, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. And, did you ask why he ignored you? Or did you yell at him and run off?" He assumed the later. Shaking his head slightly, he looked at her. "Then, go after him a calmly straighten it out. If you want your little pixie to have a good birthday, fix it." He wasn't one to comfort someone who was crying. They cried for a reason. Plus, it was better to just let them cry all they wanted then try to reason with them.

Kara took a few deep breaths and wiped away her tears "no... I won't know where to look. I'm just going to take a nap or something so I can cool off. That's what the problem was earlier. I didn't have time to cool off before Flare started going at me and then everything blew up. Maybe by the time he comes back I'll have cooled off enough to talk calmly" she answered.

Void had to chuckle softly. "If you're going to stay with Frost, you're going to have to get used to Flare's temper." He watched her for a moment, then shrugged. "Calming down would be good. What do you like to do?"

Kara shrugged "I can deal with Flare's temper, as long as I have the ability to get away and cool down. I'm a wind fairy, I like peace and calm. Normally when I'm upset I go take a nap, but I practically literally just woke up from one, so I don't want to do that. Yesterday when I was so upset I went outside and just brooded for awhile... and ended up getting soaked in the process. I like to feel calm wind, especially on a day with no wind. I forces my to focus my emotions into a calm state so I can feel the calm wind. The process calms me down, but I'm honestly too tired for any of that.

Void looked at her as if concentrating. "You have nothing else you do for fun or to calm down?"

Kara blinked at him "I'm always at the pixie colony... I don't ever do anything else" she answered like it was fairly obvious.

Void then looked at her oddly. "Then...why don't you go back for a few hours and help out some more. To calm down."

Kara shook her head "no, I don't want to make Sweet Pea upset... I think I'll just go take a nap" she answered and conjured up a cloud to sleep on.

Void couldn't help but chuckle. "You just said you didn't want to."

Kara shrugged "my rant made me sleepy" was her simple answer before she floated over to the couch.

Void couldn't help but chuckle. Then he looked at her oddly. "Um....why was Flare and Frost with you?"
