Kara smiled and nuzzled her face into Frost's neck "it was lovely... at least I think it went well. It felt like I woke up right after I fell asleep" she answered, her breathing softly against his neck as she relaxed. "I can't believe how tired I've been today. I slept half the time" she commented.

Frost chuckled deeply. "Yes, you have slept quite a bit today."

Kara sighed contentedly "Well... enough about that. What have you been busying yourself with while I slept?" she asked.

Frost blushed slightly. "Well, I was thinking...thats all."

Kara couldn't help but raise her eyebrow. Thinking about what? Normally she wouldn't press, but combined with that uber cute blush of his, she had to wonder what he was thinking. "Thinking? Ok... what were you thinking about? Me? Sweet Pea? The weather? What could've been so wonderful that it kept your mind busy during my nap, especially to have elicited such a lovely reaction from you?" she asked.

Frost gave her a look, almost as if he didn't thinking mocking him was such a wonderful thing. He shrugged slightly and looked down at his lap, in thought. "Well, I was thinking about what our lives would be like if we get the council to decide to make pixies and fairies equal."

Kara sobered and leaned against Frost's chest as the possibilities rolled through her mind... she'd be able to legally adopt Sweet pea, claiming Frost as the father, she wouldn't have to worry about the pixie number dwindling. Likely there will be a lot of protests, but there will be no killings. "It will be different, that's for sure. We'd probably get a lot busier, caring for Sweet Pea and all" she mused.

Frost watched her as she thought, more out of the corner of his eye. There was a peace about her that was contagious. He blinked when she spoke then nodded and pulled her against him a little more. Sort of like a hug. "I wouldn't mind being busier. My life was getting dull before I met you."

"Well, at least I know I make your life interesting" Kara mused as she closed her eyes. What would it mean for her? Her life was filled with going to the colony and helping out. All of Pixie Support had jobs outside of support to support their homes and (often) families. She, herself, worked as a nurse at the local hospital.

Frost grinned and sort of nuzzled her through her hair. "What are you thinking of, my dear? Your voice doesn't sound the least bit happy..." Near the end of it, his voice turned a sort of mixture between pouting and sadness.

Kara shook her head "it's not that. I just don't know what I'll do once the Pixie's are free. Presumably, logically, Pixie Support will dissolve. Frankly, I don't really know what I'll do after that. My job only takes up so much of my time" she answered.

Frost smiled and nuzzled her gently again. "Well, lets think. You have three new friends, you'll have to take care of Sweet Pea....I'd say you would have alot on your hands."

Kara sighed "that's the problem. I'll be taking care of Sweet Pea a lot more. I've had this week off from work, simply because I never take any vacations and I was forced into it, but next week I start working again at the hospital. It's always busy and I always work long hours. This will be... an adventure, to say the least. It will be interesting to see how I manage to balance Sweet Pea, work, and all the other crap in my life" she muttered. Maybe that's why she was sleeping so much... the reality of what's coming is just too exhausting a thought to stay awake. "At least she has you" she added.

Frost just listened then nodded slightly. "Yes, she does. She could stay with me and/or Flare while you are busy. But now that I think on it, Flare might be getting a little busy too."

Kara was confused "what do you mean?" she asked. It never seemed to occur to her that Flare had made a friend when she was in the colony. But then again, she had been asleep so much today that she missed a lot of things. "I thought Flare didn't have a job" she asked.

Frost blinked slightly, then smiled softly. "It seems, that Flare made a new friend while we were at the pixie colony."

Kara blinked in surprise "oh really? Tell all! This sounds so exciting! Oh, never mind, I'll ask Flare herself. This sounds more girl-talk anyway" she gushed. What can she say? She was excited to see Flare making friends "what do you think of the whole situation, though? I know you're really protective of her" she asked.

Frost chuckled softly at Kara's enthusiasm. He looked thoughtful for a moment. "I don't think he could physically harm her if he tried....but the emotional part is what I'm concerned with." He looked at her, careful concern in his eyes. "He isn't the most stable person right now, having lost his wife and now child in the raids. Its just....what if he decides he doesn't want her? Just when she decides she wants to be with him? Do you know how devistating that would be to her?" He looked at the point of misery. "I'd never be able to make her smile again..."

Understanding rushed in on Kara. She knew who this young pixie was. Everest. "I don't know... You say he's unstable, and maybe he is, but he's been a single parent for a long time. Yes, he's grieving over the loss of his daughter, but if there's one thing the pixies know how to do, it's to mourn the dead and then get on with life" she explained as she shifted on Frost's lap for a better, more comfortable position. "Considering the person that Flare is, I can't see anyone leaving her intentionally, especially Everest. If he's decided that it's time to expand his bubble past his little girl, then he'll treat her right. If he doesn't, he'll have me to answer to as well" she added and placed a gentle kiss on Frost's lips "I wouldn't worry so much, you might make Flare worried and then nothing would happen" she added

Frost watched and listened to Kara as he thought. Maybe Everest wouldn't be that bad of a choice for Flare. He was certain that age wasn't something to worry about. Being almost positive that Flare was older than the pixie. Frost nodded slightly. "I don't think you'll have much to get at if he messes up and I'm there to do something about it."

Kara giggled and curled up against her lover, relishing in the delightful feeling that came from listening to his heart beat. "Mmmm... I love you" she sighed, completely relaxed. That's one thing she loved about Frost, he was better at making her relax than anyone. He also made her tense up better than anyone, but that's beside the point.

Frost chuckled softly and held her firmly. "I love you too, Kara." He said whispery like into her hair as he gently laid his chin on it. Kara was so different to him. One moment she could be depressed over something so small, then be happy and giggly the next. It was almost like she was bipolar, but he just though it would make life interesting.
