Void just sort of nodded and rolled his eyes at her. "Of course you don't care what he thinks. Thats why you've asked me so many questions about him, right?" He shook his head and cracked his neck out of boredom. He could see panic in her eyes and didn't really know where it came from. He hadn't scared her, so it had to have been a reaction to their conversation. His lighthearted expression faded at her next question. "As far as you're conserned, you have no other plans for the day except to follow us around. That means giving Flare and Frost as much time as they want together."

Kara groaned inwardly. They were going to be here all day, in that case! "Sounds... great" she managed to get out. She was going to go insane with boredom! She was stuck inside a house full of dark fairies, and she was under the command/control of two of them! Kara doubted that Frost would ever willingly leave Flare's side! "Well then... clearly I'm likely to be here until tomorrow morning (yes, I'm exaggerating)... is there anything to do around here? I'm not exactly the type to sit around and do nothing all day" she asked.

Void looked at her and chuckled. "Don't worry. I won't let him stay too long. The longer they are together the harder it is to seperate them." Then he watched her for a moment. "I don't know. I usually wittle or carve when I'm here."

Kara sighed heavily and contented herself with forming a cloud and laying down on it "very well, you carve and I'll nap" she decided and closed her eyes 'goodness knows I need it after a day like today' she thought to herself as she floated on her cloud, willing sleep to befall her.

Void smiled and nodded. "There is a guest bed right over there. Its small, but all you need is a bed." He then showed her to the room. "I'll wake you up when we leave."

Kara was annoyed when she was taken away from her cloud. She glared at Void and purposefully walked past him out of the room. "If you'd like, I'll take my cloud outside, but I sleep on clouds. I don't do beds" she informed Void as she marched outside so she could set up her cloud bed again. She didn't even own a bed. Granted, her home is solid, but it's made out of clouds and it sits on a cloud. Her bed, however, is made new every day. It disappears when she gets out of bed, and she makes a brand new one that night. Non-cloud beds just weren't fluffy enough. It was like sleeping on a rock.

Void looked at her with a strange expression, then he laughed. "Wind fairies. Sleeps on clouds. Go figure." He glanced at her as he moved to the crafting bench out in the yard.

Kara hid her grin in her cloud "never heard of wind fairies sleeping on clouds? The rare thing is to find one that sleeps on a bed. I'm pretty sure that even dark wind fairies do that. To be a wind fairy you have to be light and delicate. Wind fairies just aren't built to tolerate beds" she explained and then decided she was bored. She floated her cloud over to where Void was and watched him work.

Void just chuckled softly. He didn't reply, just set to work on a piece of wood that was half carved. He set to work with a chizel and hammer. His hands worked expertly with the tools and wood. He hummed a slow, almost durge sort of song as he worked. He was a fairy of darkness and shadow. He'd built all the furniture in the house. Frost teamed up with him to build the entire home.

Alright... now this was kind of interesting. Kara floated her cloud down so she could get a better look at what Void was making "what're you making?" she asked curiously. It looked kind of cool... it made her want to imitate him, just for the heck of it. She conjured up a cloud and began molding it after what he was making. Deciding that was too boring, she just played with it, taking off parts and adding pieces here and there. The best part was she could take a piece away and re-add it if she didn't like the way it looked.

Void smiled and answered without looking at her. "I'm making a vanity for Flare. She's always wanted one and I've been meaning to make one." He was amused at her making a cloud version, then chuckled softly when she got bored. He was starting to add small etchings in the leg of the vanity. His extreme detail was praised by many fairies. Mostly the dark ones admitted it, even though there were plenty of light fairies that loved his work but didn't want to get snarled at for it.

"Sounds fun" Kara commented and began changing the design completely. "Is it going to have a mirror?" she asked as she began to shape a mirror. It was a well-known fact that cloud mirrors were the best out there because it had the reflection of water, but it was stable enough that it never messed up the reflection. Better yet, it took a long time before they needed to be cleaned. She wasn't big into details, that was better suited to someone who worked with details. Her designs were delicate, but very few were detailed.

Void nodded slightly. "It is my work. Just as Frost has his." He took great pride in his work. He glanced back and saw Kara messing with her own vanity and grinned. It was sort of cute. He nodded then and went back to work. "Frost is making the mirror. The basic part anyway. He will make his famous looking glass."

Oh, well scratch that idea. No matter, Kara was really just messing around. "Famous, you say? Judging by his name, I'm assuming his power is ice, at which point any mirror he makes will be of high quality. But I daresay, I've never heard of him before. Even quality work transcends borders eventually" she teased. Alright, so that might have been a little rude, but she didn't mean any malice by it. Ice mirrors were difficult to make. If the ice was made wrong, the whole mirror would be ruined.

Void froze at her inquiring. He turned and looked at her. "Whether or not you've heard of him isn't really important. He is a great craftsman and I won't have you slandering him." His voice was no longer friendly. His brother was very important to him and he knew Frost would've been hurt by her words.

Kara was taken aback "hey, sorry. I meant no malice about it. Ice mirrors are awesome. The fact that he makes them well enough to sell them and be called 'famous' speaks volumes. I apologize, maybe I'm just still upset over this whole ordeal. I mean, I run into you--granted I knock you to the ground--but now I'm your slave. But I honestly did not intend any malice to be interpreted from my words and I apologize sincerely that you interpreted it" she apologized and then popped all the clouds. Clouds gone, she spread her wings and flew to the roof, as far away from Void as she could. It was only when she'd settled on the roof that she settled down and let tears fall.

'Why am I crying? Upset about my lot in life? Upset that now Sweet Pea's birthday will be ruined because she'll be terrified of Frost? Upset that once again my words have been misinterpreted? Just upset at Void and Frost? That one is most likely... they're just horrible. Even if they're decent fairies, they're jerks! Worse than that, I'm stuck with them! They try to buddy up to me... well if they wanted to buddy up to me, then they should just leave me alone!' she thought as her tears turned into quiet sobs that progressively grew louder. They only stopped because she'd cried herself to sleep.

Void nodded slightly after she'd flown off. She should have appologized. She'd insulted his brother. Whether she meant to or not was not his problem. He heard her crying and only felt a little sorry. He'd though he'd hurt her feelings by how he acted. But, she'd have to get used to it. They weren't planning on keeping her that long. Void got easily bored with people....though Frost seemed to take a liking to her. He sighed and returned to his work. When he finished he put it in the storeroom and walked inside. "Frost. I think you need to see your little recruit to our group. I think I hurt her feelings. She's on the roof." Frost sighed and kissed Flare on the head. "My dear, Void will keep you company now. I will see you later." He walked outside and looked up at the roof. She was asleep, great. Frost let his wings unflurl. His delicate wings that were slightly pointy in appearence with frost along them. They were very soft to the touch though. He flew gracefully up to the roof and set down gently beside her. He just sat there beside her, looking out at the sky until she awoke.

Kara felt Frost's presence before she saw him. He was one of those fairies that she felt. She was leaning on the interpretation that it was a bad feeling, but she couldn't deny that it felt a little awesome. With a sigh, she opened her eyes. "What do you want?" she asked, her voice void of any peasant tones. She was hostile to him, even. "You know what, I don't care. Just leave me alone" she demanded and flew off to the other side of the roof. She really didn't want to be around him. Void, maybe. Frost, never in a million years. She hated him... both of them! Her powers reflected her mood, and soon a black cloud began forming around her. She controlled water in so much that it created storms and she controlled the wind in the storms.

Frost frowned, then climbed up and peeked over the spine in the roof. "Hey. I'm confused. What have I done to upset you?" He looked concerned, it reflected through his whole body and even in eyes. "Void said he upset you, but I didn't learn why. I don't want you to hate me, Void doesn't care, but I do. I think that you see me as an evil fairy, joking about eating a pixie heart. I know that. I truely wish to know what your problem is with us, well actually just me. And I want the truth." He folded his arms and rested his head on them, looking at her as if he could wait forever for an answer. His wings fluttered slightly, just visible over the spine of the roof.

Oh! How she wanted to smack him with a tree branch right now! Well, seeing as how Kara was under his command, she should probably answer him. She whirled around to face him, fierce anger reflecting all around her, especially in the storm clouds that surrounded her. "You want to know why I'm upset? I'm upset because I'm under the command of a dark fairy! You have never done anything that would prove to me you have any decency in you at all. Don't even talk about Flare because brothers are supposed to be happy to see their sister! You are the vilest fairy I have ever met and I shudder to think of what you'll make me do before mercy somehow fills your heart and you let me go! Why wouldn't I be upset!? I don't care that you don't want me to hate you. I do and you'll have to do a heck of a lot of kissing up in order for me to be swayed to tolerate you! So do me a favor and just go back to your sister and leave me alone!" she screamed. Oh! How she hated him! The vile creature! She knows plenty of dark fairies, but he was vile beyond vile. Worse yet... she'd lied to him. She hated him not only because he was vile, but because she was beginning to like him.

Frost sighed and shook his head a little after he was finished. "I will not prove myself to you. My seeing my sister had nothing to do with you. Just so you know." His wings fluttered a little quicker. "My brother and I may be assholes, but I know what your real beef is with us. You are the worst type of light fairy. You hate us just for being what we are! You are no better than those filthy humans." He looked like she'd stuck a hot poker in his heart. She'd hurt him deeply. "I have half a mind to teach you a lesson, but I won't. That's Void's job." He got up and floated over the spine of the roof and landed right by her. His eyes were hurt, but his face was stony. "I know why Void doesn't make friends with light fairies now." Then he flew off the roof and walked inside.

Kara glared at Frost. He was right, she did hate him for what he was. She hated him for being vile and wonderful. She didn't hate him because he was a dark fairy, she hated him because he put the old laws into action just because she bumped into his brother. He was vile. Worse yet, he was proving himself to be wonderful. If she didn't have Sweet Pea to worry about, she would run away. But no... she was stuck with him. She might even just jump off the roof to at least severely injure herself if it wasn't for Sweet Pea. Fresh tears falling down her face, she sprouted her wings and fluttered over to the gate so she could look out. The iron bars just cemented the feeling that she was a prisoner. Maybe she should run away... no... there was Sweet Pea to worry about.

Frost was dead wrong on the real reason she hated him, though. He thought she hated him for being a dark fairy. If she hated people for that, she wouldn't be so active in pixie support. The storm clouds around her grew worse and eventually they began raining heavily on her. She didn't even flinch. "Just kill me now" she whispered to whoever might hear her.

Flare came out in full flame mode. "What have you done to my brother?" She walked right up to her, her power pouring off of her in waves. She walked right up to her, glaring up at her. "I knew I shouldn't have let you in here. Light fairies have been nothing but trouble to us."

There was a loud thunder crash and Kara whipped around to face Flare "it's not like I wanted to come here! Your brothers dragged me in here because I'm under their command! They pulled the old laws on me and all I did was accidentally run into them on my way home! Believe me, if I had any choice in the matter I'd leave. You house, kill me if you want. I won't press charges, believe me" she shot back and then turned back around. She really wasn't in the mood to be chastised.

Flare dimmed a little, then reached out to touch her arm. It would not burn her and it was a gentle touch. "I hate seeing my brother so. He looks like someone's killed his pet. My brothers mean you no harm, honest they don't. I'm sure they only made you their law slave because they were bored. Frost doesn't want to let you go because he likes you! Don't you see that? What is so wrong with my brother that you won't at least be civil towards him? Yes, they have a twisted sense of humor and they get violent when they believe they have been wronged." Her flame died down to a small simmer and she stared at the girl pleadingly.
