Kara grumbled and walked over to the door to open it. There he was... "you want to talk, I presume?" she asked, her voice hard. Her eyes had a hard time staying focused on Frost, because they kept moving to the food in his hand. Wow... that didn't just look good, it smelled divine, especially since she was starving. "I take it you're going to try and convince me to come eat dinner" she guessed and made herself a cloud to sit on while she listened to him.

Frost shook his head slightly to her question. "I only knew they were there when I pulled away from you." He set the food down on the bed and sighed softly. "If you wish to go get your things, it'll have to wait until after the storm." He then left with a small.

Kara sighed heavily and looked down. A few seconds of silence passed before she nodded, sniffing back any emotion that'd come upon her. "Thank you for tell me that" she whispered. Strangely enough, though, tears began to fall. Why? She didn't feel hurt anymore, she'd worked through her issues, she just randomly started crying. "I don't know what's wrong with me... I don't really have a reason to cry... maybe... maybe I"m just tired. I had a long eventful day. It was, as the humans say, an emotional roller coaster" she commented as she wiped away her tears. She reached out and grabbed it, gently squeezing it. "I'll be ok. Thank you for telling me the truth" she whispered, but didn't pull back her hand. She was afraid of being hurt... but she was also afraid of the pain that would come if she let him go.

Frost looked back at her and sighed. He came over and sat on the bed. "Come here....please." He held out his arms for her to climb into his lap. She could eat her food and go to sleep in his arms if she'd like. She seemed only tired and emotional. He'd learned that some girls would love to have someone just hold them when they were like this.

Kara nodded, wiping away a few more tears as she floated her cloud over so she could slide into his lap. It felt so good, being held like this. Better yet, she was being held like this by him. She sat there for a few minutes, content with just listening to his heart as the tears flowed, staining his shirt. Soon enough, though, the tears left her groggy and ready to sleep, but she couldn't sleep; her stomach was roaring at her to put some food in it. "Is... is that for me?" she asked, noticing that he hadn't touched the plate of food yet. Mmmm... she could stay in his arms forever. Maybe she'll just eat a few bites so she can sleep. Mmmm... sleeping in his arms, what a wonderful idea.

Frost just held her. She was so adorable. After she stopped crying so much, he smiled and nodded. "Yes, that's your food." He kissed her head softly. "You can eat, then sleep. Alright?"

Kara let out a small hiccup. Oh great... now she was hiccuping. Still, she nodded and picked up the plate so she could eat, still cuddled up against Frost. "So... when you say permission, what type of permission do you want? I mean... can you read body language or are you going to make me verbally give permission to whatever it is I might want to give permission to?" she asked as she ate... alright, maybe a few more bites. Cold or not, this was divine.

Frost watched her eat before he answered her question. "Well, its like this. I feel it is improper for me to do anything that may impune your honor without your consent. That means, kissing or anything past that." He had a small smile on his face, but it wasn't from being amused.

Kara swallowed the mouthful of food "You never answered my question. Does said permission have to be given verbally, or can you read if I want something but am too shy to say out loud?" she asked. If he wanted verbal permission, he'd never get it, which was sad, because she really wanted to snog him. Of course... by the sounds of it, he wanted to kiss her just as much as she wanted to kiss him, but he was too much of a gentleman to do anything about it... which means she could just kiss him... certainly that'd cont as permission.

Frost chuckled softly and nodded. "I didn't answer it did I? Alright. Your answer is verbal permission." He smiled a little at her as he could clearly see she was thinking about something.

Kara nodded and shoved some more food in her mouth. Very well... if he wanted verbal permission, she might as well break all connection with him now. She'd never give her permission and if he wasn't going to do anything without it, then she might as well walk away from him and endure the pain that came with that. It was better then pining after him if he wasn't going to do anything. For that matter, might as well start right now. She slid off his lap and onto a cloud, floating away a few feet. She placed the now empty plate of food on the bed and curled up so she could sleep. 'Just go away, Frost... leave me alone to die of a broken heart' she thought to herself as she watched the rain, eventually falling asleep to the sound.

Frost was surprised when she floated off on her cloud like she did. He knew he'd said something wrong again. Did she not want to kiss him? Or...was it that she wanted him to just do it? He didn't know. It confused him and his chest hurt from the feeling of her leaving him like she did. He sat there though on the bed watching her until she fell asleep. He wouldn't leave the room. Which meant he fell asleep as well after a while. He knew he'd be starving in the morning.

When Kara awoke, it was because the sun was shining in her face. She sat up and looked around. Why... why hadn't Frost left? Whatever, time for him to wake up. She conjured up a storm cloud and made it dump its contents onto his face. Just for good measure, she used a twister to dry him, and the bed, off. "Sleep well?" she asked, fake cheer in her voice as she ran her fingers through the tangled bird's nest that was her hair.

Frost woke with a gasp, then glared in the direction of the culprit. When he saw it was Kara, his expression didn't change much. "That was extremely rude." He commented before he stood and moved out of her reach. "I stayed to make sure you were alright and you wake me like that." He sighed and walked out of the room without another word. He was hurt...more than he'd ever admit. He moved over to the kitchen and found a wrapped plate on it with his burned on the wrapping. He had to smile a little. Flare sure was sweet.

Hmph, so maybe she deserved the grouchiness, but whatever. She didn't really care. Yes she did... NO SHE DID NOT! Tomorrow was Saturday. Tomorrow she could be rid of him and she could get on with life... without him. Couldn't he just see that maybe... maybe she wanted him to prove that he wanted her? With a sigh, she soaked her hair so it ran semi flat so it only looked tangled and messy instead of a fluff ball. She'd need the product to make it smooth. She left the room and walked over to where she heard noises. Oh... it was Frost. With chilly ice in her voice she spoke "I'm going home to pack an overnight bag. Where's your home? I'll just fly straight there" she asked, her jaw tight.

Frost didn't even turn around. He sighed and sat at the table with his food. "Void will go with you and show you where we live. Void stood from the table and looked at Kara oddly. He was wondering what was going on, but he'd go anyway. He bowed slightly to Kara and waited for him to go. Frost didn't move for a moment, then slowly went about eating his steak.

Kara stood still, infuriated with Frost. She wanted to be alone. "Come on, just try to keep up" she bit and immediately zoomed outside, flying her fastest. She made it a point of taking tricky turns and twists, flying as fast as she could, before eventually coming to a sudden stop at her home. She entered and slammed the door shut before she headed upstairs to her bedroom and bathroom so she could put together her overnight pack. Stupid Frost.

Void didn't need to keep up, he could sense her. He soon landed in front of her house and just waited.

Frost sat there after she left with his head in his hands. He didn't know what to do. One minute she acts like she's in love with him. The next she acts like she hates him. He didn't think he could take this much more. It had only been a day for goodness sakes. What was wrong with him?

Eventually, Kara reluctantly left her home. With a heavy sigh she turned to Void "alright... lead me to my dungeon" she said, dread filling her voice. She may be leaving tomorrow, but she still had one more day where she was under his control. That meant one more day under Frost's control and one more day in his presence.

Void gave her a look. It meant that whatever her and Frost were up to they needed to cut it out. Then he turned and fluttered off. He didn't fly very fast, mostly because he'd wanted to give Kara the chance to talk if she wanted. But, also because he was bored and it might annoy her that she was going so slow.

Kara grudgingly floated behind him. "You know... I really don't get it. Your brother can be a real dunce sometimes. I know you love him and you don't like him to be insulted, but this is the truth, from my perspective, allow me this much. I mean... you and Flare were probably spying for awhile, right? You saw how things went. You saw... how intimate we got. I was giving off plenty of signs of what I wanted. I don't think I was exactly subtle... was I? But NO! He want's stupid verbal permission for whatever. If he wants something, he should just reach out and take it before it's not there anymore! The idiot! I am not going to stick around and wait for him to decide that he really wants me. I can find a light fairy, one with the same values as me, one who won't break my heart every time he speaks. I don't need him! I certainly don't need him if he's going to act like an idiot! ARGH! Why is he so stupid?" she ranted, finally looking at Void at the end.

Void had listened, but he showed little. He never looked at her, partly because he was trying to keep calm. "Frost has a set of rules he lives by. He had to make them for him to live after what happened with Flare." He shook his head a little. "I could see in Frost how much he wanted to kiss you. The closer you got the less grip he had on control. Thats what is important to Frost. Control. He's always had control over everything he's ever done. The one time he lost control, he destroyed another fairy's soul." He finally looked at her. "He's afraid, little fairy. Honestly, I'd have not bothered with you the first time you snapped at me. But, Frost sees something in you that he wants to do everything right. Its tearing him apart inside because he cannot break his own rules."

Kara's lip trembled and she turned her head from him so he wouldn't see her tears "then he'll lose me. Tomorrow, after I take him to the pixie colony, as was his request, I'll leave him. If he wants me, then he has to come get me. I'm scared enough as it is, falling for a dark fairy. We have a different set of values. The reason I fought this so hard and long was because I knew someone would just get hurt. It would never work between us. But... I'm willing to risk it if he is. Since he's not, because of his beloved control, then I'll leave him so we can both get over each other and move on" she resolved.

Void looked at her as if she was foolish, than he said it. "You're foolish, little fairy." He hadn't once called her by her name. "His control keeps him from being that which you hate so. The stereotypical dark fairy. You know, the pixie eaters. Though I don't think he'd eat a pixie, he's more the violent type, not really on the disgusting route." He shrugged slightly and floated down to the roof of his home. He motioned her to come down to him. "If you tell him everything you told me, than it would work out between you two. He isn't very bright when it comes to figuring things out like this."

Kara's eyes welled with tears and her lip quivered. But she wouldn't cry... not yet. "I don't care" she sobbed as she floated inside. Once inside, she found the closest couch that the could put her stuff on and float a cloud above for her to lay on so she could cry. She fave the back of the couch so no one would see her tears (even though they're probably hear them) before they came to investigate her. Frost is just... too good to be true. And he wasn't, he was dense. She wanted someone that would just throw caution to the wind just once. She wanted a man that was bold and romantic... Frost was just an idiot. He loved his control... and he could have it. All she wanted was for him to give it up once. How bad could it be, kissing someone who clearly wanted to be kissed?
