Eck AutoCAD... I prefer CATIA so much more.
Are you interested in CAD Design?

I don't need to "improve" so much as get my butt back into writing

So far I've only been exposed to Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD at school, but I can say for certain I prefer CAD a million times more. I find it easier to draw on it, with the command line and all. Also I don't think I'm going to make a career in CAD, but it'll definitely help with the engineering strand I'm taking. I'm still deciding between majoring in science or English, but I thought an engineering background would give me an advantage if I were to choose science.
Also how long have you been writing for?
Edit: I've never heard of CATIA before, what is it like? Or should I say, why do you prefer it?

CATIA is a lot easier to modify things. Like if you change a measurement the whole part changes... whereas for AutoCAD... it sort of just moves that one line. Plus 3D in AutoCAD is really hard o.o

CATIA, Solidworks, and Maya are definitely programs you will want to look into if you're interested in CAD Design.
All in all though, for the whole engineering section at least being able to read prints and such is becoming more and more common.

Been writing since about 7th grade :)
That was also the day I learned that I hated poem templates

I think I'm in love with CATIA already. I wish my school supported it, it would definitely cut down on drawing time! Also I'll definitely keep those programs in mind.
And wow, you have a lot of experience! I've only been writing for five years. Teach me your ways.
Edit: Maybe free verse poetry would be better for you?

I sort of doubt your school would be able to afford it @[email protected]
CATIAs got an insane price tag... (like $10,000 I think for a license)

I like writing my own poetry yes. I also sometimes like to write songs... though finding a voice for them is hard

Wow, that is expensive! Curse you CATIA! Why are you so much money?
And I wish I could help you but I'm a terrible singer. I'm sure someone on the internet could sing one of your songs though, there are a lot of talented singers out there! What music genre do you write for?

That would be because you can create almost anything in the world with it. CATIA has different workbenches for basically every single engineering specialty I can think of.

I don't really write a "genre" I simply write :)
Many of my poems could likely be sung if someone really wanted to... some are just more tailored for a voice.

As for "lots of experience"... all I really did was do a lot of writing... like hundreds and hundreds of poems. Then I would take those poems and scrap them for a line or two and create a new poem out of a single line or a handful of lines.

I love you CATIA. Maybe I'll be able to try you in college.
Also aw, your poems are from the heart! Do you have any samples I could read? It's okay if you don't want to share.

Hehe... yeah and apparently Solidworks is similar as well...
If you do end up taking it for school the student version of CATIA is a LOT cheaper :)
And if you have a Boeing in your area then odds would be that CATIA would be offered.

Not sure o.o most of my work is unfinished. Been trying to figure out how to "publish" them without having to worry about theft.... because sadly it's pretty common :(

Also just want to say that The Conjuring was one of the best scary movies I've ever seen.

When reading about posting in the wrong thread, I realised that while I've never quite done that before, at times if I'm IMing with multiple people I'd post a reply to one person in another's chat window....so far I haven't sort of revealed anything I wouldn't want to to the wrong people...but it'd be so bad if that did happen.

Yes...so far most of the things I've sent to the wrong people have been responses of sorts, like 'Oh yeh,' or 'lol' that type of thing...which can be misunderstood in wrong context, but I usually tell people when I've done that so that they know that wasn't my response to what they had last said.

Me too. Long day. My sister got married, and the church was an hour and a half away.
