has anyone in here tried pumpkin soup? I tried some at a deli near where I work that was uber nasty. I just tried making some based on a recipe I found on food network, but surprise it doesn't taste anything like what I had at the deli.

Never have tried pumpkin soup. Though I probably wouldn't unless I made it myself.

It was ok. We ate it all. But I think the recipe I used lacked something. Like the over all flavor was kind of flat or bland so I'm trying to find another recipe.

Sage goes well with pumpkin, maybe try some sage in the recipe you already have.

the only thing hummy has ever eaten that had too much garlic was a lean cuisene roasted garlic pizza.
but hummy still ate it and endoured the overpowering of garlic.

Haha it's good to see you too hummy. :) Thanks for not letting it wither.
Here's what I'm up to:
So my family has been friends with another family ever since our moms met in childbirth class with the oldest kids. In early October, the other mom, my mom's best friend, died kind of suddenly at work. It was some kind of aneurysm. Don't worry, I'm not telling a sad story. So both of the oldest kids in the families are at college just 20 minutes away (we live in the same neighborhood) but the dad and younger son of the other family live at home alone now. So every Sunday they come over and we cook a big dinner and we've gotten a lot closer than we were before.
The mom of the other family was a fabulous cook and never cooked the same thing twice unless someone requested it. But every Christmas, she made TONS of cookies that got sent out to friends and family. Today my mom (with a little help from me) is carrying on the tasty tradition and making a TON of cookies. :)
Sweet story right?
