i only know what she told me
she was leaving work last thursday night and found some black ice
she rides a bike so she wiped out
she said she landed on her arm
but friday she went to the dr because she said her stomach was bothering her
all of her injuries were internal
she bruised her left arm and is suppose to wear a sling until next week unless her arm still hurts
they watched her at the hospital over the weekend because she had some internal bleeding and her belly was swollen
she came home last night
whatever they gave her at the hospital made her sleep most of the weekend
shes still on meds and slept most of the day

Oh yeah, I'm not going through anything compared to Fire. My house is fine and no one I know was injured. I'm not even sure if anyone was hurt.

There's a bayou under there that flooded past its capacity.
It rained really hard for about an hour and I read that we got 1.6inches of rain every ten minutes. Whoa. I think like 7000 people lost power during the storm. At my school they brought the ninth graders (who are usually in the temporary buildings across the street) in to the auditorium on the main campus because there was a tornado watch and because the street separating us (which is blocked off to traffic all the time, just saying) had turned into a "small river"

Since no one got hurt and the city gets worse water damage from hurricanes, I think it's safe to say it was pretty cool. :)

i've fallen on black ice while walking and knocked myself out.
so i can't imagine how badly she hurt herslef going at a much faster speed.
i'm glad she went to the docotor instead of just dealing with the pain.
i was stubborn and didn't go to the hospital and later found out a concussion
could have been what i had sustained.
and i went to sleep!
but, obviously, i woke up.

Oh no, I'm glad that YOU'RE okay. Or at least better. Internal bleeding is the scariest type of bleeding. Unless you're bleeding like blue but then you might be an alien and it might be okay. But since you have normal blood, internal bleeding is the scariest. :/

sluggish, sore and sleepy but I couldn't stay in bed another whole day so I hung out on the cough...which really isn't that much different. But it hurts to sit up straight.
