Don't be sorry, I blush easily. Being shy and not used to compliments does that to me.

I like sunflower seeds but only if I am in the mood for them.

Hummy - I like Rainier cherries! Those are really good, they have a nice flavor. :) I forgot they were in season, I'll see if there's any good looking batches when I go out tomorrow. :)

I would like to plant an apple tree, and I was planning on doing it this fall (the best time to plant trees), but then I ended up wanting to plant a mimosa and I already bought that. I might be able to find a place for an apple tree too, but I'm not sure. Our yard has some gigantic trees so there aren't many treeless areas left.

Algas - Oh, does it really? I hadn't compared them. That's good to know! I do eat peanut butter a lot.

Does anyone have a good, tested falafel recipe? I've been so excited to try it, and I followed a recipe a few weeks ago only to have it completely fall apart and dissolve as soon as it touched the oil. :( I'm a little leery now to try any other falafel recipe that hasn't been tested by someone I trust. That was such a waste of time and chickpeas.

I thought I would say hi -- I haven't posted to the thread in this forum because shortly after the event I had an allergic reaction to soy. ._. Considering how much I like tofu, soy milk, and soy products it really suck the wind out of me. But, I'm moving on. The core part of the dishes I enjoy is usually not the soy product, and I do like nut milks and rice milk well enough. The main problem is that it means that a LOT of veg convenience foods are out for me now as there's usually some sort of soy derivative in it. I'd wanted to eat more whole foods, anyway, though.

Aww, that sucks, I'm sorry, Guivre! Just be sure to find a good replacement source of protein. And look for new soyless recipes to make the change more fun? :D

aw so sorry to hear that Guivre.
you have such a nice outlook about it though.
what kind of things have you started to eat instead of soy based ones?
