I like tofu if it's prepared the right way. I don't like tasting any actual tofu flavor. :/ The savoriest tofu I've had has been sliced thin instead of chopped.

does anyone know any good and tested recipes for veggie tacos?

aside from the premade veggie burgers I havent seem much in the way of veggie made meat substitutes so Im kind of looking for a good and easy veggie/meat recipe to. Does anyone have one?

My absolute favorite thing is veggie breakfast tacos with Morning Star breakfast sausage. I heat it in the microwave for like 10 seconds, break it up, cook it til it's a little browner, scramble an egg over it and add a handful of cheese shreds. Then keep cooking til the cheese is melted and the egg is fully cooked. Then put in flour tortillas and top with salsa. :)

FireOnix, if you're looking for something that is specifically very meat-like, I can't suggest anything. But if you're looking for something with a taco-like flavor in a tortilla or shell, I'd recommend beans. Beans and avocado really flesh out a taco when there's no meat.

@Cherry, No sorry I guess I wasnt clear. Im looking for a good and tested recipe to make my own veggie patties because I was thinking about using it for tacos.

i saw a great salad today i want to pass on.
it's made at room temperature so it's great for picinics too <3.
it's a corn, tomatoe and basil salad.
one tip i learn, which i so could have used many times over, is to microwave the cobs of corn with husks on for three minutes.
then when you peel aaway the husk the silks are much easier to get off the corn.
roast the corn on the grill and then let it cool a bit before
you cut the kernels off the cob and add them to a bowl with one diced fresh tomato,
garlic, olive oil, basil, salt and pepper and viniger.
mix this up really well and viola you have a roasted corn and tomato salad everyone will enjoy!

i watched 'simply Ming' today and he made a turkey meatloaf that looked delicious!

having ground turkey or chicken is supposed to be a lot better for you then beef. I switched a lot of what I made with either chicken or turkey before I went off meat completely

i have never used ground chicken before but i do really like ground turkey.
