General motorcycle thread because I'm curious if anyone here rides. Also what are you riding currently, anything you've had in the past, first bike, opinions, stories, etc.

I'm brand new to it, took the first half of the MSF riding course yesterday which was pretty much my first experience on a bike. Second half got rained out today so I have to wait until next week to finish up, take the test, and see if I get my license. Not getting my hopes up too high, but I've got my fingers crossed. Also, if anyone has any pointers for a first bike. Taking the MSF course on a Honda Nighthawk, which I have to say doesn't seem like a bad bike. I've read it's pretty quick to grow out of, though. Looking for something that's forgiving on beginners, but still has enough power to do everything I'd want it to do once I've gotten comfortable with it.
