Personally, I LOVE ALL LANGUAGES! :3 I'm an American, so I speak English fluently, and I've been studying Japanese for about six years. I also study Russian, German, Hawaiian--everything else when I'm bored. Does anybody else do this? =) And if so, which language is your favorite? It's hard for me to decide between Russian, German and Japanese, but I think I'll choose Russian, overall.

I speak six languages. My first language is English, but really, Brazilian Portuguese is supposed to be my first, so now it's my second. I also speak German, French, Italian, and Spanish. My favorite has to be Italian, though, I'm not sure why... I use that language most of all the others I know, and am often mistaken for an Italian for how much I use the language everywhere.

I speak english fluently, a couple of words of Korean, A couple in French, a little more Maori than either of those and maybe one word of any other language I've heard spoken, basically I pick bits up here and there from everything, but I've never studied a language properly.

I'm from the US but speak both English and Spanish fluently, even though ethnically im german XD
I'm actually the only one in my family who speaks Spanish. In elementarily school I went to a Spanish immersion school, meaning that i was only allowed to speak Spanish in class from first grade until fifth. We were punished if we talked in English XD Only bad thing was that they didn't bother teaching us how to spell correctly in English until fourth grade. So, THANK GOD FOR SPELL CHECK! XD
I'm passable with Italian too, but just barely. I know a few words in French, German, and a few other languages too, but not nearly enough for conversation.
Italian and Spanish are my favorite languages i think.

I'm the same as you. I'm Canadian, so I speak English as a Native language, and take French as a required course in school.
Outside of School, I'm studying Japanese by myself, and have an on and off relationship with both Mandarin and Korean. xD
This year though, I'm thinking of adding another language to my courses at School; and taking Latin. Not that I really know why I'm gonna bother... I don't even know where I'm gonna need/use it. :\

I adore all languages, spoken and written ^^
My native language is Japanese, A southern, Ryukyuan dialect to be exact, but I know "standard" Japanese as well. I am also fluent in Russian and English and fairly fluent in Latin. I know a bit of Mandarin, and some French, as well as a few words and phrases in Italian.
As for written languages, I can read Egyptian hieroglyphics as well as a fair amount of ancient Greek and Norse.

I live in a mining town in New Zealand, and a lot of miners here are South African immigrants, so I hear Afrikaans around a lot. I don't speak any of it though, nobody's bothered to teach me any.

I'm from America, so English is my native tongue. ^^ I study French for school, and I enjoy it. I'd really like to pick up Japanese, and due to watching so much anime/listening to so much Asian music I'm starting to pick up some words here and there. However, I really like every language. I like listening to all sorts of International music. It may sound like gibberish to someone else, but it doesn't ever really to me, even when I can't understand what they're saying. XD Languages are elegant. I love analyzing them, too, and finding hidden quirks. ^^ I enjoy singing in other languages, too, especially Swahili. I sang several choir songs in Swahili, and the pure energy that came out was amazing. The language itself just seems to be so full of energy. ^^

I really wish I could have held on to my Vietnamese from when I was a child... I took a sign language class last semester and absolutely loved it! There is just something so beautiful about expressing yourself with your hands and without words.

English is my main language.
I'm self-teaching myself Japanese after many years of being out of high school where I took two years of it (and got perfect grades :) )
I took several years of French during my school years and didn't really enjoy it cause of the rude teacher.
That's it for me.

Well, I speak English fluently. I took about six years of Italian, so I'd say I'm semi-fluent. (mainly because I haven't spoken it really in two years, and simple vocab starts to slip from my mind) I took some French classes as well, but that was a few years ago. I really only remember standard stuff now. Also, my boyfriend is Spanish and speaks it fluently, I'm trying to get him to teach me, but he's a pretty bad teacher. He just throws random sentences into our English conversations now hoping I pick up on it. xD
By all means though, Italian is my favorite. I even considered going back to school and majoring in communications for it, but alas I'm too lazy. I think it's such a beautiful language though. <3 My best times in school were always my Italian classes.

Oh, wow! ^___^ You're all so cool and interesting! =) You must be very proud.I could never learn Spanish, even though I want to. >.< I even have books on hieroglyphics! Haha. Ancient languages are interesting to me. Even fictional languages are. If any of you would like to talk, feel free to add me/message me on here! I have a really bad ear infection though, so I've barely been getting on here. x.x I'll get better soon though! So, maybe we can exchange languages soon! =)

I have no aptitude for languages whatsoever, nor am i really interested trying to learn any. As a writer i much prefer the variety and depth of the English language. So many others i've seen have only one way of expressing something, which doesn't appeal to me at all. Perhaps it's my lack of interest that makes me see it that way, but i'm content with my lot.

I am fluent in German and English. I'm from America, but my entire family is from Germany so I picked up much from my extended relatives.
I think my favourite sounding language is Latvian. I have no idea what they're saying, but its beautiful! ^^

Me? Well, my native language is Latvian (I am flattered, Liquid Diamond: ;D), but I am somewhat fluent English speaker... or maybe writer. I am also learning some German and Russian. And I hope to learn Spanish some day... Maybe also Italian. Latin is amazing language and I love languages altogether, they all have their beauty. I hope to become a translator of books one day, because I am fascinated both by languages and written word.
