Gaara scowled and grabbed her things from her. "No! You do NOT work under my watch." he took the stuff to the kitchen and washed it all. He grumbled about random stuff such as how she should rest while she could. He then grabbed her arm and dragged her outside. "We walk now." he said this in a gruff and slightly uncaring manner. He was still slightly upset that she felt like she needed to work. She was his guest after all, and also still slightly injured.

She was caught off guard when Gaara started telling Harjuna doesn't work under his watch. Suddenly when he grabbed her arm literally dragging her outside she was a little bit scared. Though she didn't say anything. She just let Gaara rant on about how she doesn't work under his watch. She felt like he was telling her she was useless even though she knew he wasn't saying that but she felt that way. She did feel useless.

Gaara sensed her fear and her sadness. He whirled around, three inches from her face. "you need rest and peace before you work. A few weeks or months from now we'd be happy to have an extra set of hands. And also you never have to be afraid of me. I won't hurt you." his voice softened. "Everything will be alright ok..." he let her go and motioned for her to follow him.

She just nodded mostly looking to the ground when he spoke to her. After he was done talking she took her hair down not wanting her hair to be up as she followed him her arms folded over her chest as her hair flowed around her. She wasn't sure why but Gaara always brought on a different side of Harjuna then her normal personality.

Gaara had a feeling she was angry. She had crossed her arms and was acting...odd. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair. It was warmer than usual and he wished he'd left his gourd at home. The extra load was annoying. He grumbled slightly and then lead Harjuna to a large market with tons of goodies. He bought lots of pocky for the house and two small boxes for him and Harjuna. He also got them some soda. He handed her both after he paid. He had brought a wicker basket to carry all the stuff he was bringing home. He also stopped at a few other places to get things for supper. He took her back home and unloaded all of the food. He took off his gourd and his shirt. He had on a sleeveless fishnet shirt and a pair of ninja pants with sandals. He took her for another walk and took her throughout the nice parts of town. He took her to a large, pretty bridge and sat. "Sit." he commanded.

When Gaara handed her the soda and some pocky she was still silent but she tried not to look upset. Though Harjuna was easily angered. She's always hated that about herself. The little things could always set off the triggers for her anger. When they got to the bridge she sat next to him as he commanded. She was being too quiet even for her. She tried to think of something to say to break the silence but she assumed he probably thought she was a brat.

Gaara looked at her. "Well, how have you liked it so--" he was cut off as he was pushed by a carless man into the water. He came up sputtering. "Jerk!" he screamed. His sand armor and gourd were now nothing but mud. It dripped Off of him and he knew it looked gross. After all anyone caked in mud From head to toe was Bound to look disgusting. The man laughed and pushed Gaara back in. Gaara tried to stand back up but the man jumped in and pushed him back under until he saw fit to let him up for air. Gaara gasp as he came back up and was immediately pushed back under. He was clean of any trace of mud, but the nice clean water was now brown with mud. The man laughed and kept on pushing Gaara under and letting him back up until the boy thought his lungs would explode. He was gasping and the man was laughing. "P-punk..." Gaara gasp out. The man scowled. He then pushed him back under.

harjuna became enraged to what she was seeing. Her eyes shot wide with anger. She jumped off the bridge attacking the man. Even though she wasn't suppose to fight she was not going to let this stand. She didn't only attack the man once or twice she did it multiple times. "Don't you dare hurt my friend!" She shouted grabbing the man by his throat. She was short yes but her strength was amazing for a girl her height. "Maybe I should snap your neck in half like a twig." She said narrowing her eyes.

He shook I'm fear. "N-no I-I'm sorry....." Gaara shrieked with anger. The anger of being saved by a girl mostly. He took the man out of her hands and pushed him into the water. Gaara looked like a little mangy kitten. His hair stuck to his head and he shivered. He pointed a finger at her. "No! Don't do that! Never! I can take care of myself!." he screamed. His face contorted with anger. He was still shaking and looked more like a child then ever in his life. "I am a man! I don't NEED YOUR HELP." his voice rose as he spoke and he was now wheezing. He was wet, and tired and angry and embarresed and he wanted to cry, so he did. He sat on the ground and squawked like a newborn baby. He threw a tantrum and then kicked the man, who was Stepping out of the water, in the balls. The man's face filled with pain. He socked Gaara square in the nose and ran. "Freaks!" he screamed as he ran. Gaara's nose bleed now. He stepped back in the water and washed the liquid off of his face. When it stopped he summoned him mud and it sat on the bridge soaking wet. He got angry agian and hit his head on a tree. He tasted blood as he bit his tounge hard. He hadn't acted like this since he was 2 and it felt good to get it all out. He felt exhausted by the time he calmed down and knew tonight he'd probably sleep agian. He felt his demon acting up. It tried to get out when he was most emotionally screwed up. He didn't let it have it's way. He closed his eyes and determined he would sit here until the sand was dry and he was passed out.

When Gaara yelled at her just like this morning, harjuna was reaching the peak of her anger. "That's it!" She shouted. "I'm sorry that I'm a girl, sorry that i actually want to actually have friends as long as I'm staying here. Maybe its not such a good idea that I'm here. Sometimes I wish i had never crashed through your window. Maybe if that never happened it would've been better." She said. She knew she wasn't doing any good by saying this to Gaara but she couldn't just bottle up her feelings. "Maybe I should head back home tonight." She said after the both of them had calmed down a bit.

Gaara's anger peaked agian when she said that. "MAYBE YOU SHOULD LEAVE! I DIDN'T ASK YOU TO CRASH THROUGH MY FREAKIN WINDOW!" his eyes were thin lines and his mouth was twisted in anger. He wheezed like he was having an asthma attack. Then his face filled with pain and he slumped over. His body was lifeless and he had stopped breathing. It had been to much for him. The exhaustion, the anger, the water already in his lungs. He didn't even twitch. He just laid there looking dead. His pulse was low And hardly readable. He looked like he was in massive pain.

She chewed her lower lip. She didn't even know what to do. She didn't even know him. She didn't want to just leave him there but if she tried to help him she knew he would just shove her away. She was more then just on the verge of tears. She wished she wasn't such a useless person. She knew she should go get Temari but she knew if Gaara was in bad shape she would blame it all on Harjuna.

Gaara was terrified. He was awake, but couldn't move. He tried to scream. Harjuna was above him. She looked confused. Gaara freaked out as his own body spewed blood from the mouth. What was happening to him? He figured he was going to die. He didn't like the idea very much. More blood spewed from his mouth. It ran down his face and trickled down his neck. His eyes rolled in his head. His demon moved around excitedly. He was going to die and the demon wanted free before That happened. It would die also if he did. Gaara had always wondered if it was better for him to die. To rid the earth of the beast he harbored. He felt coldness fill him. He really was dying. The demon tried to bust out, but made things worse. More blood flooded from Gaara's lips.

Harjuna was scared she didn't know what to do. Before she knew it she was holding onto Gaara trying to calm him down. She knew it wouldn't work but she didn't know what else to do. Gaara could feel harjuna's tears falling onto his face. She was terrified out of her mind. She knew if she got any of Gaara's siblings it would be too late. She knew she would probably carry him home if he didn't calm down soon. She felt truly useless. "I'm not useless...I'm not..useless.." She whispered to herself trying to not only calm gaara down but herself in the process. It wasn't working. She felt as if something was cutting off her oxygen. She knew her and Gaara probably didn't get along too well but he didn't deserve to die.

Gaara gasp and gulped air and then let out a shrill scream. Hr gripped Harjuna. "D-don't leave p-please...I'm s-sorry I yelled at you...j-just don't leave me here..." more blood came from him and his body quivered as small tears trickled down his cheeks. He screamed agian as pain shot through his body. Temari and Kankuro had been a few blocks down and heard the unpleasant noise. They ran towards the bridge to see who or what was making that noise. Temari burst into tears and Kankuro paled. "What the hell did you do?!" Kankuro screamed at Harjuna. He grabbed Temari roughly. He pointed. "You can do medical justsu! Make use of yourself!" Kankuro glared at his shaky sister. More blood spewed out of the little gingers lips and Temari cried even harder. Gaara's eyes were scrunched up and he clung to Harjuna for dear life. Temari found Gaara's problems and fixed them then she pushed the water from his lungs. Little traces of blood and lots of water came spewing from him. "H-he'll be fine." Temari whimpered. Kankuro stared at a terrified Harjuna. He looked at her pretty young eyes. "I'm sorry I yelled at you..I'm sure this was tough for you to have to watch. What happened exactly?" Temari nodded at Kankuro. "He had a major emotional break down. That's what happens when you bottle up emotions for years. She tried to pick up Gaara but he clung to Harjuna. He still didn't know Whay was happening. He couldn't see, but he knew as long as he stayed with Harjuna he'd be ok.

Harjuna never let go of Gaara. "Its okay you don't need to apologize I should've known better." She said as she continued to hold him rocking him gently. When Kankuro yelled at Harjuna she felt guilty. After Temari helped Gaara she held onto Gaara still. "Some guy pushed Gaara into the water...I tried to save Gaara but Gaara didn't want me to." She said softly. She felt like a burden. She was now starting to think if she really should go back home.

Gaara shivered. "D-dont leave Harjuna. Promise me you won't please..." Gaara pleaded his voice full of panic. He felt like he'd be ok if he just stayed by her. Kankuro started yelling at Gaara now who merely whimpered as he was scolded. "Gaara damn it! When someone helps you you let them! Do see what you've caused? She only wanted to help! Your not the all mighty Gaara! You can and will be killed if you don't trust others! So grow up!!!" Kankuro yelled at the top of his lungs. Them completely out of charactor, Gaara just cried. He would normally get up and scream right back in Kankuro's face, but now he just sobbed and edged his way further into Harjuna's arms. Temari was the one to get angry now. "Shut up Kankuro! You've caused more trouble die to your foolishness then Gaara ever has! You think your his father but you aren't!" Kankuro looked at her in suprize and instantly was shocked into silence. Gaara began to drift into one of his strange sleeps and Temari picked him up. "We are going back to the house so Gaara can sleep. Kankuro get the gourd. (it was now dry and had reasembled.) Harjuna, I need you To stay with Gaara until he wakes up. He'll be terrified I he gets up and your not there. He seems to think your going to leave. When Temari finished giving orders she walked to the House. She laid Gaara, who was now completely asleep, on Harjuna's bed. She put him on one side and his body only took up a little under half of the small bed. She motioned for Harjuna to lie down beside him. "He'll be happy to see you when he wakes."

Hearing Gaara tell her not to leave she just stroked his hair to calm him down. When the siblings fought, Harjuna was silent. She didn't want to leave Gaara but she felt like she had to or else she would just cause everyone else pain while she was still there. "He thinks I'm going to leave because I told him i would." She told Temari. "I can't stay here." Harjuna said softly. She didn't want anyone getting too comfortable around her. By the time they were home and Gaara was asleep she did lay next to the sleeping form of Gaara. She knew this was probably all her fault. She felt guilty more then any other emotion she felt. She just wanted to run far away, cry or just scream at herself.

When Gaara woke, he was pleased to see he was with Harjuna. He smiled and snuggled up to her. "I would have died if you didn't stay with me. Thank you." he stroked her cheek softly with his hand. Suddenly Temari came. "Your awake..good I need to speak with you. She took Gaara into the hallway. "Gaara, you can't keep her here. She wants to leave. She feels unwelcome here and she obviously doesn't like being with us. Let her go...no better yet...tell her to go." Gaara stared like Temari like she was speaking another language. He frowned. "Ok....I will first thing tomorrow morning." He walked off to his room and climbed on the roof. Temari yelled that it was time for supper and Kankuro went and got Harjuna. Gaara just yelled that he wasn't hungry and needed a bit of time alone. He sighed deeply and thought of how he would live without her.

When Gaara did wake up Harjuna nodded. "i just did what anyone else would've done." She told him. When Temari was taking with Gaara, Harjuna eaves dropped listening in on their conversation but not letting any of them see her. She listened hearing he would tell her tomorrow. It made her sad that she had to go. She just didn't fit anywhere. Even she knew she had to go back to the lonely life she once lived. When their conversation ended she went back to Gaara's room sitting on the floor looking out the window. She had stayed their till dinner. When dinner was ready she went to eat with the others. She knew Gaara didn't eat that much but she was still worried about Gaara. While she ate, she didn't eat much which was not like Harjuna. She had quite a lot of food on her plate still and a lot of things on her mind. She wasn't even sure what to say to any of them. she wished one of them would stop her tomorrow but she doubted it. Her long multicolored hair covered most of her face or at least one side of her face.

"May I be excused I'm not feeling well." she said standing up. She felt like she couldn't bear to be around them. She really was fond of all of them especially Gaara. She even may like Gaara more then a friend but that was one of the problems. She felt like she was in the way every second of the day. Even though her injuries were still bad she had to go home. If she is to be attacked so be it.

Gaara laid on the roof and pulled his knees up to his chest. "Life sucks...." he murmured quietly. He was crying and felt like his insides were exploding. He woke up a few hours later and relized he was still on the roof. He was suprized he hadn't been taken over by his demon in his sleep. He could feel depression rising in him. He backed into his room and grabbed a sharp razor, he left the gourd in his room so the sand would stay away from him. He then did something he had never done before. He took the razor and pulled it up his wrist. He let his crimson blood flow off his hand and onto the roof. He felt crazed and even more depressed, so he kept pulling the blade up his own arms until they were stained Scarlett with his own blood. He then held it to his ankle and pulled it up the soft flesh there. He leaned his head on the cool roof shingles and they were all stained red where his arms and legs had been.

After she left the table she wondered why Gaara was out there so long. Harjuna had actually been in the room she was staying at packing her things. She had planned to leave before anyone would be awake. She knew if she couldn't sleep tonight at all she would probably leave around five in the morning. Going out to the roof she saw what Gaara had done. She pulled out a gauze for each of his wounds applying pressure to it and wrapping his wounds with a cloth bandage wrap keeping the gauze there on each of his wounds. "Gaara you can't keep hurting yourself. I know the reason why your doing this to yourself but I'm only doing what's best for you. You shouldn't get too comfortable around me. I don't want to leave but I don't have a choice. I've grown too fond of you..what i feel for you is so much different from anyone else.." She said softly. He could see she was upset since she had tears already forming.

He looked down sadly as the blood stopped flowing. "You heard me and Temari didn't you...you're free to leave as you please." his voice was soft and hurt. Like a child who's parent was leaving. "I can understand if it's the things I said at the lake earlier...I didn't mean any of it. But if you must go, then do it quickly so I don't have time to stop you. He stared at the stars. "Why are you about to cry? Aren't you happy? Your no longer stuck here."

"Of course Im not happy. Everyone here has been like family. But I'm useless. I can't do anything. Back home I don't have family, I don't have friends and no one treats me well like the people here do. Back at home I feel like I'm just some sort of bomb ready to explode." She said sighing. "Its not the things you said to me at the lake..its part of it but its not mostly why. Whenever Your demon starts to come out I don't know what to do and it was my fault." she said sighing. "I don't think i belong anywhere Gaara. It feels like every place i do go i end up messing up any good chances of being happy..like i did today. To be honest..i really like you."

He sighed. "So...you blame yourself because of MY lack of self-control. If you didn't notice, I was the one who freaked out in the first place. Stop blaming yourself for the mistakes of others. Besides...your always welcome here. We only thought you wanted to leave. We thought you felt like a prisoner here. And believe me...you don't want to....like me. I'm not what you need. I can't support you. I'm an emotional wreck these days. I've had my emotions bundled up to long and now they won't stop coming. You would have to care for me and even on occasion have to spoon feed me like Temari does...I Never wanted to admit it..but right now I'm very weak. My body needs rest and that's something I don't easily come by. That's the only reason I feel you should leave...you don't need anymore burdens. Honestly, I'm more trouble than I'm worth. No matter how you look at it, my siblings want me dead. They won't say it, but it's true. I scare them and they're sick of having to watch me all the time. And..if for some odd reason I was to die soon...I really don't want you to see it happen. Kankuro and Temari have seen so much death it won't even bother them to see me dead. Your not so hardened I don't think. Such a sight could drive you mad." Gaara was hugging his knees tightly to him.
