" I was told Alex that one of your Bishies was attacked too. Was it a black dragon too? Carly asked.

"It was. I also heard that you had a Bishie attacked by a black dragon as well. May I ask what Bishie of yours was attacked?" Alex asked in curiosity, but also politely. He knew that it could be a Maximum Ride character, but he didn't remember the series as well as he did some of the other books in his collection. He then waited patiently for her answer.

" It was Max. She was patrolling the area for strange things and got hit by a large black wing. She's going to be alright. Who would attack another trainer's Bishies ?" Carly asked.


Taylor wished he knew too. He still had the feeling that Michael's disappearance had something to do with what was happening.

"That's a question I want to ask myself. Luckily Taylor's Sora knows Curaga otherwise Angelus would still be healing," Alex said in a bitter tone, annoyed that he was unable to do anything about it. He then noticed that Carly was looking at him curiously. "Sorry, I consider my Bishies as my friends and I couldn't do anything about it." He said.

" I understand how you feel . I hate that I couldn't prevent Max's injuries . Who ever did this needs to be found?" Carly said with a determined tone.

"I agree. Whoever is behind this can't just keep doing whatever he or she wants."

" We have to do something about this." Carly said

" I agree, but we don't know who we might be dealing with." Taylor said.

"or what," Alex said. "So far, all we know is that they kidnapped several new trainers, Taylor's friend, and detective, Michael and just started attacking flying Bishies. I hate to say this, but we need more information.

Taylor and Carly nodded . " I just hate being so powerless ." Carly said sadly.

Alex nodded, "We all do. I hate to be blunt, but did you ever feel like you were being followed while in the town?" He asked as a thought came to him. If she, too, was followed then maybe the trainer who had this black dragon could be found.

" I did feel that way. It started last night. I'm a new trainer and a few days ago I caught Max. We've been training and I saw a black van drive by. " Carly said .

"Training in what, if I may ask?" Alex asked as another thought occurred to him. "Is Max fully healed? I know its a little late to ask," Alex asked again as thoughts came into his mind. At least someone is in this village. He was going to hate what he said next, but he had an idea. "I have an idea...but I don't think we'll like it."

" Mostly hand to hand combat. She's pretty much healed but wants to rest a little bit before we leave town." She said .

" What's your idea?" Taylor asked. He wondered what it might be .

Ark chuckled lightly after hearing that Max was teaching Carly hand to hand and before she could get mad, he explained that Jean did the same thing for him and said that the two could possibly get along. He didn't really know about the book series, just that the name of the series.

He then turned towards Taylor and sighed. "We need to stir up the hornet's nest. Basically...either one of us or all of us are going to be acting as bait to bring whoever is attacking Bishies out from the shadows that hide him or her."

" We do need to do that. I could be the bait . If you would like me to." Taylor said. He wanted to know who was after them.

"Are you sure?" Alex asked, hiding the sound of surprise from his voice.

" I'm sure. " Taylor felt it was the right thing to do. He hoped it was .

"Alright then. What about you Carly, you want in on helping us take these bastards down?" he asked the girl.

" Of course I do . I want them to pay. I probably should say that my sister was one of the trainers that went missing . They never found her either. That's why I became a Bishimon trainer . So I could find her."Carly said .

"So a missing detective and a missing sister" Alex mused as he paused once he started hearing Jean lightly growl.

"What was her name?" Jean asked, trying to keep her emotions in check. All this talk about kidnappings brought back bad memories of her childhood. Her anger was about to take over her when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking towards who had a hand on her shoulder, she started calming down, but only a little.

" Her name is Deanna. I refuse to believe that she's dead. I want to believe she's still alive." Carly said trying not to cry. It hurt to think about her sometimes .

"I hate to ask this, but what if Deanna is the one who's using her black dragon to attack Bishies?" Alex asked, knowing that he was sounding like a jerk, but he was trying to think of every situation. "I'm not trying to sound like an ass, but it is a possibility."

" It is possible. But she didn't have a black dragon , unless she's working for someone and caught it after she started working for them. It's a theory that I don't like , but its a possibility . " Carly said sadly . She didn't want to think Deanna was working for the enemy.

Alex nodded. "I don't like thinking about it either, but it is a possibility," he said before he told them both of his plan. Taylor would need to either have himself, or him and Sora ask around about a black dragon, van or both. This would, hopefully, bring out the culprit.

" I can do that. I'll ask Sora if he wants to help." Taylor said. He was ready to find out why a trainer would attack others.
