"Why?" Ark asked, genuinely curious. What could this group have done to get the whole town to make them be seen as the leaders?

" I dont know why. We can't leave and we can't fight. Everyone is too afraid to fight them."

"There has to be something, otherwise you wouldn't have been ordered to go after that trainer." Alex said as he looked at the guard, searching for any lines of deceit.

" I'm sorry I don't know why they ordered us to go after the trainer. Though I have a feeling they might have found out what is really going on here in town." The guard said.

"Are you sure that's all you can tell me?" Alex asked, awaiting the guard's answer. After that, he would look for the trainer with that dragon.

" That's all I can tell you. If I find out more can I contact you?"He asked. If this trainer could help the town , he would help anyway he could.

Alex looked at the guard for a few seconds before nodding lightly. "Zero can you melt or break the ice?" the trainer asked as Zero did as he was asked, even though he didn't trust the guard he was fighting just a few minutes ago. Alex thought for a few more minutes on trusting the guard or not about giving him contact information.

"How do I know you won't use this to your advantage and set up a trap in the future?" Alex finally asked.

The female trainer kept her senses open, knowing that they were still in a great amount of danger.

" You have my word I won't use this against you. You have every right not to trust me. " He said. He knew there were others that would give this trainer information, but there were those that might hurt him.

"Ark..." Zero started to say before silencing himself, knowing that his trainer had to make the decision by himself.

"You're right...I don't trust you. But...I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, don't let me regret it," Alex said as he gave the guard him his Bishiedex's number to which he could call him with the phone feature.

" Thank you. I promise to help you as much as I can." The guard said as he took the paper.

Alex nodded as both he and Zero turned around and headed towards where they thought they saw the trainer from earlier landed. He just hoped that whoever he or she was was alright.

The trainer was hidden as best she could. She wasn't sure who to trust with what she found out.

Alex heard something in the distance that sounded like a branch snapping in the distance. Both Alex and Zero headed in the direction that they heard it going off.

The female trainer hid as best she could behind a large rock. She didn't know if the two headed towards her were friend or foe.

"We aren't here to hurt you, we just want to help!" Alex said in a voice that was a little louder than his normal tone. He wanted to make sure whoever it was that landed here could hear him and know that he wouldn't hurt the trainer or the dragon.

The trainer got up from behind the rock. " How do I know you won't hurt me?" She said with caution.

"I would say, 'you don't' but that wouldn't help my case. However, I did just act as your distraction a few minutes ago by taking those guards out. So the question is...if I wanted to hurt you, why would I go to the trouble of saving you?" Alex asked as he put his sword away.

" If you were going to hurt me you wouldn't. I'm sorry. I'm very scared after what just happened . I'm Tracy by the way." She said.

"I understand completely. Why were you running away anyways?" Alex asked before forgetting to introduce himself. "Sorry, where are my manner's? My name is Alex but I also go by Ark. It's a long story though," He then motioned towards Zero, "and this is one of my Bishies: The Irregular/Maverick Hunter Zero."

" I accidentally saw some information I wasn't supposed to see. I was headed toward the nearest police station with the information .I think I may have found the lost detective."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "You have?" he asked in surprise

" He's being held in the same gym I worked at." Tracy said .

"And that's why they went after you?" he asked, surprised. If that was the case...then were the other trainers also here as well?

" It is . I was going to show the police what evidence I have. " Tracy said . " I also know that are more trainers there too."

"That doesn't surprise me," he said as he explained what happened over the last couple of days, figuring that he could trust her.
