Sakura nodded. "Alright," she said as she prepared herself for whatever Kirito dished out at her.

" What would you like to start with?"Max asked Thalia. She hoped that this would go well.

"I was hoping that we could spar first, so that I could see what I'm working with?" Thalia asked, hoping that Max was okay with that. "Don't worry, I won't use my lightning powers on you, at least not right now," she said, knowing that Max would rather avoid having her wings fried to a crisp.

( sorry about taking so long. Was helping friends move and then took a long nap. Lol)


" Sounds like a good idea." Max said. Lighting was one of her least favorite things to encounter while flying.

(Darn and I didn't have a camera...did I say that out loud? just kidding, I swear)

"Before we spar, do you mind if I ask how your wings work?" Thalia asked. She knew that they would eventually have to go up somewhere high and also wanted to work on her fear of heights. She was getting better at it, but...

( lol. I took my nap at home.)

Max nodded and explained how her wings worked. " Flying isn't so bad once you get use to it but it can get scary. " Max said when she was finished.

"That actually sounds interesting," Thalia said. "Now then, are you ready to start?" she asked.

" Yep. I'm ready." Max said with a grin and got into a ready stance.

"Alright," Thalia said as she got into a stance as well. "Just to let you know, I'm not gonna be pulling my punches," she said. She would unseal her sword later, knowing that as of right now it would be unfair to Max.

Max nodded and then charged wanting to see how fast Thalia's reaction time was.

'She's fast!' Thalia thought as she got up a block quickly with both of her hands. She then countered with a kick, wanting to see what Max's reaction speed was.

Max dodged quickly and grinned. She then countered with a kick of her own to see what Thalia would do.

Thalia smirked as she caught the leg before quickly turning and throwing Max behind her. She then ran after the tumbling avian, hoping to press the advantage that she had.

Max was impressed by Thalia's fighting skills and was glad when this round was over." You did great." She said and wiped the sweat off her face.Max had expected to work hard, but not like that.

"Likewise feathers," Thalia said with a grin, showing Max that she meant no harm by the nickname. She was glad that Deanna's sister had someone as strong as Max to help protect her.

Max grinned and actually like the nickname. " We should rest a little before we start up again. " She said. " Could you teach me those moves you used?" Max asked.

"I wouldn't mind teaching you, since it isn't all that hard," Thalia said, knowing that a break was probably a good idea.

" Alright." Max said with a smirk. "And I can teach you some of the moves I know. " She offered.

"Sounds like a plan feathers, and maybe you can help me with my phobia of great heights as well," Thalia said as she got off of the ground.

" Maybe I can. Once you get use to flying it's great. But there are things that are hard to get use to. Like thunder storms. Don't want to be caught out in one and not able to find a safe place to land. " Max said and shuddered a little bit.

"Bad experience?" Thalia asked curiously.

" Yeah. It was before I met Carly and was on the run from the School. " Max said.

"Those bastards, huh?" Thalia asked. "I heard they were as bad as the scientists, and I should know about them firsthand," she said.

" In my experiance , the School was worse. I still don't know if my adopted siblings are still alive or where they are. I hope one day I'll see them again. " Max said thinking about the others that could fly like her.

"I bet after we find their mother you could ask Carly to help you search for them," Thalia said. "Now then...ready for round two?"
