Max smiled knowing Carly would help her. " Always ready. " She said with grin.

Thalia smirked at that. "Is that so, hm?" she asked mischievously as she let lightning dance around her fingertips for a few seconds.

" Okay , not so ready. " Max said hoping Thalia wasn't serious.

Thalia quickly killed the lightning, not actually meaning to do anything with it other than to scare Max. "You were saying something about being ready..." she teased.

" I did." Max said and blushed a bit." Now this time during the sparing we'll be teaching each other moves that we know." Max said making a mental note to teach Thalia some of her flying moves in the future.

Thalia chuckled lightly. "Sorry, I couldn't resist on that one," the demigoddess admitted before getting back into her stance. "Sounds good to me," she admitted with a small grin.

" You can be the first to start since I started the last round." Max said and got ready. She was looking forward to this match very much.

"Alright," Thalia said before asking if there was anything particular that Max wanted to learn first.

" Surprise me. " Max said with a grin.

"You do realize I could show you something with my lightning, right?" Thalia asked with a raised eyebrow. Not that she was going to do it to the avian, knowing what it was like to have to deal with a fear after all. "Don't worry, I'm not that cruel, even if other people say that," she explained before getting ready to show her some of her fighting skills.

Max nodded and got ready to learn new things. After all overcoming ones fears was part of learning wasn't it?

Thalia grinned, glad that Max had picked up some of her moves. While the avian was still working on her fear over lightning, she understood that it took time for it to actually work.

Max was also glad that Thalia was picking up some of her moves and knew the demi-goddess would do fine when it came to flying.

Thali smirked as she hovered a few feet off the ground. If she needed to go higher, then she could, but she was quite comfortable where she was at. "Thanks Max, for helping me with this."

"You are welcome.I wonder how Carly and Deanna are doing?" Max wondered out loud.

Carly was very interested in how Deanna was doing things and was happy her sister had a good job. " Thanks for lunch sis." She said with a smile as they headed back to the gym.

"Don't mention it. It's not often that I can treat my older sister," Deanna said with a smile. "Though I wonder how Sakura and Thalia are doing."

Sakura huffed lightly, but had a grin on her face all the same. While she still had several small cuts on her body, she was able to block or deflect most of Kirito's attacks.

" I wonder too. " Carly said.

" You're doing good Sakura-chan. " Kirito said as the finished up this round. " Ready for a break?" He asked.

"I think a break sounds good," Sakura said. She also wanted to try something with her Watery Card in order to heal the scratches that she was given.

"I just hope that Max and Thalia are getting along..." she started to say, knowing that Thalia had a fear of heights and that Max had a healthy aversion when it came to thunderstorms.

Kirito nodded and sat down. He was glad that Sakura was doing so well in her sparing.


" I think they are getting along. I have a feeling they'll help each other with he fears they both have. " Carly said , hoping she was right about that.

Sakura pulled out of her deck of cards, looking for the watery card. She knew that all of her cards could be used for offensive, defensive or both, but she was curious if some cards could actually heal her. She just hoped this worked. "Kirito-sensei?" she asked, wanting to get his attention.

" Yes Sakura-chan?" Kirito said with a smile. He had a feeling Sakura had an idea and he was intrigued to see what it was.

"I've told you how my cards worked, right?" she asked.

" You have. You said they are both offense and defensive. " Kirito said and hoped he was right. He was looking forward to seeing what the card keeper had in mind.
