Simon was just about to send a message to Alex before getting a beep on his own device. Accepting the message, he scowled once reading it.

" What seems to be wrong?" Michael asked. He knew that there had been rumors going around about rouge trainers, he jut didn't know how true they were.

"Carly and Alex had to protect Sakura and Jean from people trying to kidnap them," Salem responded as he sighed lightly. "I thought that branch of the scientists' military was destroyed years ago though."

" They were. But thier tech went missing. Do you think it was sold off to the wrong people ?" Eve asked and knew this needed to be reported.

(How does Michael figure into all of this?)

( he was a cop and was the one who had brought down that division of Scientists.)

(Right. Though I thought he stayed behind with Simon)

"It's possible," Salem responded. "It would explain the B.A.S.E. bishieballs. It stands for Brainwash And Slavery/Enslavement," he added on.

( he did. I changed it to Eve. I thought you had posted Simon at first. . )

" I don't like the sound of this at all. I wonder if there are other places with this problem. " Eve wondered.

"I hope not," Michael responded. "Though I'll let other facilities know of the B.A.S.E tech. You wouldn't know of a way to destroy them, would you?"

" I would. I have all the information on a Zip drive and can download and send that information if you like." Salem said. He knew that tech was dangerous in the wrong hands.

"If you could, please," Michael responded. He knew that technology like that in the wrong hands was very deadly.

Eve saw Carly and Alex over the horizon and waved towards them. "Hey lovebirds!" she shouted teasingly, hoping that they could hear her.

Carly blushed and didn't know what to say. She did have a crush on Alex but she didn't know what he felt about her.

Alex coughed lightly when he heard Eve's comment, though he did notice Carly blush lightly at that. 'Does she have a crush on me?' he asked himself lightly before seeing the blue bird behind Salem and whistled lightly.

" Guys.This Articuno. I suggest you have the translation app on your Bishiedexs. It makes communication easier." Salem suggested.

Alex nodded before opening his Bishiedex and turning on the translation app. He hadn't needed it before since he had actually learned Al Bhed. It was still an annoying language to learn, but very fun. "Alright, it's on. And it's nice to meet you Articuno, I'm Alex, or Ark, whichever you prefer," Alex said.

" I'm Carly. It's nice to meet you Articuno." She said and happy that Salem had found a Bishie.
" Nice to meet you both. Salem has told me about you and the others. " He said happily. He was feeling worried about those trainers that had tried to steal the other Bishies.

"He has, has he?" Alex asked before asking if Salem heard the news about what happened in town.

" I have. Michael messaged me saying he got a message from local law enforcement. I sent him some information and hope it's enough to stop these trainers. " Salem said. " let me guess you guys were the ones who almost had Bishies stolen today. " He said after thinking it out.

"Jean, Sakura," both Alex and Carly said at the same time. "Though I was able to help free some of the bishies that he was using," she added.

" That's awful. How's Deanna doing. " He asked feeling concerned. " That's good. I'm hoping they can help us nab this jerk. The more we can learn the easier the police can help other Bishies in their situation. " Salem said. He wondered if any other scientist tech had gone missing. One device they had was to block a persons memory and create a new life for the person that had been targeted. He feared Carly's mom may have been one of those people.

"She's holding up well, and so is Sakura. Right now she's sleeping due to magical exhaustion," Carly explained, hoping that they did capture the guy who did this to those poor bishies before. "We'll do whatever we can to help."

" I'm glad they both are alright. I don't want Articuno to be a target and will do what I can to help too. " Salem said. He was a little sore from his fall yesterday but was glad nothing had been broken.

"Same here," Eve replied. "Salem...is there any other technology you can think of that they might have gotten their hands on?"

" There is the memory device. But I've never seen one and only read about it. According to rumor it was only in test phase before the project got scrapped. Apparently a higher up was reprogrammed and his family sued the research division. " Salem said.

"What can it do?" Alex asked curiously.
