"That sounds good actually," she responded, hoping that Elisa would talk about herself, curious as to who her trainer actually was.

" You probably want to know more about me. I live in the town at the bottom this mountain. My mom owns an inn there." Elisa said with a smile as she made the sandwiches.

"And what wanted you to start on the road becoming a trainer?" Ruby asked out of curiosity. She knew that if Elisa didn't want to come here and become a trainer, then she would be dead in that snowdrift.

" My uncle was a trainer. I liked the bond he had with his Bishies and wanted to have adventures like he had. " Elisa said with a smile.

"What type of adventures did he have?" Ruby asked, also wondering if Elisa's uncle was an empath or not.

" He was a medic. He worked to heal Bishies that had been abandoned or lost out on the many roads. He was close to the Bishies he had and eventually was able to become a gym trainer. " Elisa said.

"He sounds like a nice man," Ruby responded. "And I think you're following in his footsteps," she added as Elisa put the plate with the sandwich on it down and thanked her for it.

" He is a nice man. I am going to call him sometime today and tell him that I finally am a trainer. " Elisa said and sat down with her sandwich.

"I bet he'll be happy to hear that coming from his niece," Ruby said before taking a bite of her sandwich. It was nice to know that her trainer wasn't like what some of the rumors about trainers were.

" How are you liking lunch?" Elisa asked after a little while. She wanted to be a good trainer and not like the bad ones that had harassed her in the past.

"Lunch is good Elisa, thank you," Ruby replied with a grin on her face.

" You are very welcome. Want to help me with dishes?" Elisa asked once the meal was over. She was looking forward to Ruby meeting the others.

"It's the least I can do," Ruby replied after she finished her sandwich. She wondered what the others were like and hoped that the others would approve of her.

" Ready to head back?" Taylor asked Sora once he saw what time it was. " I hope Elisa and Ruby are doing well. " He said hoping the Bishe that they saved was doing better.

Sora nodded in answer to Taylor's question. "I hope that as well. She was so close to death..." he said, muttering the second part of his comment.

Carly sighed lightly as she did some simple stretches for the day so that her body wouldn't be sore in the morning. Seeing that it was almost time for dinner, or what she assumed was dinner time, she asked Max if she was ready to head back.

" I'm ready. " Max said and hoped Carly was going to be alright. She hadn't talked much during the training which was very unlike her friend.

Carly had kept her thoughts to herself, not wanting to burden Max with her problems. "Then let's head back," she said with a light smile. She didn't realize that by wanting to keep her thoughts to herself that she worrying her avian friend.

"Do you want to talk about what's bothering you?" Max asks as they walked to the inn. She was worried that Carly was keeping her feelings to herself agian.

Carly winced lightly. "Sorry...I was locking you out again, wasn't I?" she asked.

Max nodded. "I know today was hard for you. I promise she will remember you and Deanna. " She said wondering what Salem's idea was to help their mom.

(If there's a reason Max doesn't like her full name, I'll change it)

"I'm sorry Maximum," Carly said, using her full name to show that she really meant it. "And I hope she'll remember...though it looked as if she recognized us today," she added as she saw the looks that Mary gave both her and Deanna.

"What'cha up to Salem?" Articuno asked as he peered over at his trainer who was writing something down.

Just working on something that will help Carly and Deanna's mom remember them.An old colleague of mine knows how to reverse the effects of what caused their mom to forget them." Salem said.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked.

" Do you know any moves that will temporarily freeze a person. The treatment that is used requires the person be frozen for a few hours after the treatment is finished. " Salem replied. He didn't like that part but his colleague said that was necessary.

Articuno nodded and said that he could.
