Alex nodded as he heard what Lena said and opened the stables to see both Angelus and Saphira.

" You've noticed it too?" Saphira said when she saw Alex. She was nervous about the Council gathering. It was too soon for them to gather , since it was every 50 years that the meetings were held.

"I have," he said as he bit back a yawn, not wanting to worry Jean. "Why do I have a feeling that this is a complete Bad Thing all in capitol letters?"

" Because it is a bad thing. I heard from Silvia , A dragon friend of mine , told that it's about the black dragon. Apparently a member of the council was severely attacked recently." Saphira said solemly. She wondered if she would be able to attend the meetings .

"It wouldn't be about Shruikan would it?" He asked in curiosity, noticing how she talked about her friend. "You would like to go, wouldn't you?" He asked softly.

" I'm afraid it is. Do think you would be able to let me and Angelus out so we can talk to the council? They need to know the truth of what is going on . " Saphira said .

Alex scowled lightly but quickly wiped it off his face before nodding. "I'm coming though," he said, leaving no room for argument as he went to open the doors for them.

" That is a good idea." Lena said ." The Council needs to hear it from someone who can clarify the problem. " She added.

"Alright, but only because you're my trainer," Angelus said, knowing that he would have gone even if she said no. "All three of you get on, I'll take you to the Council."

Lena got on Angelus and Saphira would follow." I'm ready when you are " Saphira said .

Angelus waited as both Alex and Jean got on before she took to the skies. She looked back to see that Saphira was right behind her.

" We're getting close ." Saphira said once they were out of the city itself.

Angelus nodded as she heard Saphira's comment but continued flying towards the council. She just hoped that Alex didn't make a fool out of himself by accident while at the Council.

" We should land soon." Saphira said. She knew they would have to be approved before they went in.

Angelus flew for a little longer before she saw the spot that the both of them were to land at and started gliding towards the spot.

" Angelus if it's alright , please let me talk to the guards. I know them well." Saphira said once they landed.

Angelus was about to say something about that before Alex placed a hand on her shoulder, which calmed her down. "Alright Saphira," Angelus said as she let the Blue Dragon take the lead.

Saphira talked to the guards and the turned to the others."Alex . you ,Jean Lena and Angelus are allowed to enter in . The council wants to know what is really going on with the black dragon and with Bryce." She said after a while.

Alex nodded and got off of Angelus before helping both Jean and Lena down as well.

Saphira led them down a path toward the great meeting hall. She entered making sure they were following her.

Alex and the others were following her, making sure to stay close. While Alex knew that Angelus and Jean were right behind and beside him, he didn't know what Lena was and was not capable of and didn't want to risk it.

Lena was also right behind . She wished her dragon Samara was with her.

Soon after, Saphira led them out into an arena-like atmosphere, with dragons filling the sides as best as they could. Alex recognized some of them, but kept the urge of shouting out in fanboyness under wraps, especially since this was serious business.

The Council came to order and the business was discussed .The Council members couldn't decide on what to do about the black dragon. They then asked if there was anyone who knew of what was really going on in the town.

(no problem. I still don't know who she is though *insert sweatdrop here*)

The four heard all the voices going on all at once. Alex didn't know how to get their attention but both Angelus and Saphira knew how. Since Saphira had more experience dealing with the council and let her get the Council's attention.
