(lol watching the Christmas ep of WH13)

Alex ignored Max for a second and turned to Nita, "Do you think you could cast a quick spell, to see if there's anything in the book, magical or mundane that acts as either a listening or tracking device?" he asked.

Max got the book out . She hoped they we not being tracked.

(I just find it bad that all of that REALLY could happen if you stop and think about it)

Nita took the book from Max's hands lightly. "I can try, but Kit is better at metals and non-organic stuff than I am," she said before opening her spellbook and looking for a spell that could possibly help locate if there was a tracking device inside the book. Once finding the spell, she turned to Alex. "I'm going to need some supplies first. Are you sure you want me to try and look?" she asked.

Alex nodded. Nita then wrote the materials down on a piece of paper and handed it to Alex. After looking over the list, Alex told the two to meet him back here in an hour and he would be back with the supplies.

( I know it would be bad. Now I'm just waiting for season 4 to start.)

" Is there anything I can do to help?" Max asked.

Nina hesitated for a few seconds, not liking the fact of what the spell said. It needed a small amount of blood from the person who first touched the artifact in question as well as something that could be removed from their body.

"What's wrong?" Max said seeing the look on Nita's face.

"The spell needs an article that can be removed from your body, either a piece of hair or a feather, as well as some of your blood," Nita said softly.

" Oh.I'll give you a a feather , and the blood . Just be careful ." Max didn't like the sight of her own blood, since she had seen it too many times as a child in The School.

"Alright, I'll be careful," Nita said as she carefully plucked a feather from Max's right wing before lightly drawing a small amount of blood. Wiping the feather through the blood, she placed the feather into her pocket dimension and started healing the small wound she made. "Sorry..."

"I'm alright ." Max said . It didn't hurt very much and was willing to help out.

"Are you sure?" Nita asked.

Alex crossed the last item off the list that Nita gave him. He placed the old battery in the bag, along with the steel wire, a few pieces of a destroyed credit card and other various nick nacks.

" I'm sure . I've been hurt much worse. " Max said remembering the attack from the black dragon.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened?"

" I was flying a little bit when I was hit from behind . I remember wakeing in a hospital room , and told that I was attacked by the Black Dragon. I had a broken wing and a broken arm . " She said.

"I bet Carly was scared to hear about you being injured by the Black Dragon," Nita said as she saw Alex starting to come back to where they were standing.

" She was scared . I just hope we defeat that dragon. Who knows who else he has hurt ."

Nita nodded, hoping that they could defeat the Black Dragon.

Alex started to head back, overhearing the two talking about the Black Dragon.

Max saw Alex as he head toward them. She felt better since she had talked about the attack . She hoped Carly was alright .

Alex wondered what the two were talking about and shook his head. Sometimes, when it came to women, it was better that he didn't know. Heading to where they both were, he handed Nita the items that she requested. "You're lucky I like you, some of those items were not easy to find El Nina," he said, causing Nita to laugh lightly.

"Sólo Kit odia a ese nombre," she replied in perfect Spanish, surprising Alex. It seemed as if she was practicing.

(Only Kit hates that name (El Nino))

Max laughed a little bit listening to the exchange between Nita and Alex." You need my help for anything else?"

Nita grinned lightly, knowing that Max needed a laugh like that. "I need to create a circle and then a wizard's knot to tie the circle closed. Once that's done, I need you to stay away from it. If it gets smudged or broken...very bad things will happen," she said before taking the closed book and placing Max's feather on top of it before placing the various items around the book.

A few seconds later, Nita found out that the book was not booby trapped in any way, which made all three let out a small breath in relief.

Max was glad that the book was safe. She hoped it would help in the fight against Bryce.

Nita ended the spell and smudge the Wizard's knot as well as her name in the Speech, a series of symbols that stood for every word and/or letter that a wizard could use in order to create a spell, before standing up slowly, feeling a little dizzy from using a lot of her energy for the spell.

" Are you alright Nita?" Max asked after noticing how tired her friend looked.

"I'll be fine, just give me a moment," Nita said as she started recovering. "I thought the spell would have only used a little of my energy, not all that much. I'm fine now though," she said.

"Are you sure?" Alex asked. When Nita nodded, he did as well. "Now then, I'm curious. What would have happened if the book had a tracing device in it?"

"Max's blood would have started blinking on and off like a regular recording beacon, but since the feather crumbled to dust, it wouldn't be bugged," Nita said, saying that was what was suppose to happen if it wasn't bugged.
