" Think we should see if we can help some more ?" Carly asked.

Alex was just about to agree with that before the pain from before caught up to him. "Alex!" Renamon shouted in alarm as the vixen saw him wincing in pain.

" Are you alright ?" Taylor asked in concern. " Would you like me to heal you? " Sora asked.

"That...might be a good idea," Alex replied as he took his time standing back up again.

Sora used his healing spell on the burns. He hoped that it would be enought to heal them up.

Alex felt the burns cooling down as new skin formed over them. Once the spell stopped, he noticed that all his aches and pains were gone. "Thanks Sora."

" You're welcome. " Sora said when Alex thanked him.

Rikku and the others finished helping the firefighters put out the last of the fires. Before any of the firefighters could help, they vanished, looking for their trainer.

Taylor looked around and was glad that the fires were mostly out. The main questions were ,how did they get started and who was responsible for starting them.

Max was glad to see that the fires were being taken care of. Heading towards Carly, she noticed the new pair and was curious about them. She was curious as to who would want to start the fires in the first place. Seeing that it was getting dark, she hoped that Carly and the others would wait until morning to start snooping around.

" I'm thinking we better find a place to sleep for the night. " Taylor said.

"I know where one is, follow me," Simon said as he headed towards the hotel. It wasn't as damaged as the other buildings were.

Taylor looked around at the burned buildings, seeing some were not as badly damaged as others were and was glad to see that the hotel was in fairly good shape.

Simon led them into the building and made sure that they were taken care of by the clerk at the desk. After he made sure they were set for the night, he headed back towards his charred home, hoping to find some of his possessions not charred or damaged. He knew it was probably a lost cause, but was worth trying anyways.

Taylor laid down on the floor, letting Carly have the couch. The room wasn't very big, but it was a place to stay since they all were tired.

"You don't need to do that," Carly said after Taylor said she could have the couch. Both decided that Alex would have the bedroom since he deserved it.

" I'll be fine. I have my sleeping bag to sleep on. " Taylor said as he rolled it out.

"Alright..." she said, still thinking that he didn't have to give her the couch to sleep on.

Taylor laid down , closing his eyes to get some sleep. He hoped that they could figure out what was going on.

Carly pulled a blanket up over her form, closing her eyes and slowly going to sleep. Her final thoughts before fading into dreamland was to hope they found out what was going on.

Taylor slept dreamlessly until he saw the sun coming through the windows. He decided to lay there until the others woke up.

Carly dreamed about being with her sister and Max while she slept, a small smile on her face as she slept. Before long however, the rays of light that peeked through the windows slowly caused the girl to wake up. Turning away from the light, she tried going back to sleep so she could enjoy more of the dream that she had, but failed doing so.

Taylor had inadvertently gone back to sleep and woke up about an hour later.

Alex slowly made his way out of the bed and towards the bathroom before splashing some water on his face. He wasn't sure if the water still needed to be used by the firefighters or if it was alright for them to use it.

Taylor heard Alex moving around in the room, wondering if Carly was awake yet.
