" I have the same feeling. It was almost like they wanted us to find them. " Simon said.

"But why?" Nita asked as she saw that Carly and the others coming out of Yugito's room.

"I don't know. Maybe to distract us." Simon said.

"Why would they do all of this though to distract us? And if this is just to distract us, what is there real agenda?" Alex asked as he noticed Carly and Max coming out of the room. "She doing alright?" he asked Carly.

" She is." Max said.

" I don't understand this either. It just doesn't make any sense." Taylor said.

"I'm glad to hear that," Alex responded to Max, glad to hear that she was doing alright. He saw Jean, Nita and Rikku sneak into the room and lightly chuckled to himself.

"What doesn't make sense?" Carly asked.

" Why our new adversaries would go through all the trouble to distract us , if they have a real agenda. " Taylor said.

"Maybe they wanted to test Alex and us out? To see what would happen?" Carly asked as she brainstormed for ideas. "Other than to bring notice to themselves, I'm not sure why they would even try distracting us," she continued.

" That could be it. I don't doubt they heard about what happened in the last town. " Taylor said.

"It wouldn't surprise me. Perhaps someone should send word to Tracy, to let her know that something is up?" Alex asked. He knew how effective she could be in a fight with or without Saphira by her side and thought it would be a good idea to keep her up to date on events such as this.

" I could fly to let Tracy know. " Max offered.

"Angelus could do it as well," Alex said, not wanting Max to tire herself out by flying for so long. Plus, whoever went would have to deal with being away from their trainer for a while, something that Alex also wanted to avoid as much as possible, knowing the side effects that it could have on both the trainer and Bishie.

" It might be best if Angelus sent the message. I'm not sure how people would react to a girl with wings. " Max said.

Before he could stop his mouth from saying it, Alex responded, "Some people would probably think you're an angel."

Max blushed a little bit, not taking offense at what Alex said." They would think that." She said.

Alex blushed in embarrassment at what he said. "Sorry...I didn't mean to say that," he apologized.

" That's alright Alex. You're the first person to say that to me." Max said blushing a little bit.

Alex chuckled lightly before Alex's bishies came out of Yugito's room and a few seconds later so did the nurse telling them that visiting hours were over. However, she did mention that Alex and only Alex could stay if he so chose to do so since he claimed guardianship over her for the moment.

"We'll head back to the hotel and come back in the morning." Taylor said. He hoped they could figure out what was going on.

"Alright," Alex said before thanking the nurse and letting her know that he wanted to stay with Yugito for the night. He would think on what their new adversaries were trying to accomplish.

Taylor kept his guard up as they headed toward the hotel. He didn't want to be ambushed by whoever they were fighting now.

Seeing Yugito sleep peacefully for a change brought a small smile to Alex's face. He was glad that Yugito was finally able to get some sleep without having any nightmares. Then again, it could just be his presence that helped her sleep through the night, he wasn't sure. He did know one thing though, after she was cleared from the hospital he was going to ask if she wanted to tag along with him and the others, either as a Bishie of his or stay a wild Bishie.

Taylor unlocked the hotel room and would let the others in first. He hoped Simon would be alright, worried that is friend would get hurt while he went investigating.

"Did it go as planned?" a man hidden in shadow asked as he talked on the phone. He made sure that no one was watching him as he listened to what his minion was saying. "Good. It's a shame that my plans didn't work with Bryce, but at least I don't have to worry about him anymore," he said once his minion finished talking. "What about the research? Did the clones I send you do the work properly?" He asked as he listened for the response. "What do you mean they were found out?! You better have some samples left or else..." he shouted into the receiver before shutting the phone down. "Now then...things are about to get interesting," he said before walking down the alley and back into the Undergrounds.

Taylor went to sleep hoping tomorrow would be normal. He wanted the chance to get another Bishie , but figured it could wait. But he had the feeling things were going to change.
