I have heard of second life. I wanted to try it out but either you needed to install something or pay to use it I forget which one and I refuse to do either.

@Bella: You don't need to pay anything, but you do need to install the viewer, which is free. It seems to barely run on my computer -- but my computer is a 3-year-old MacBook Pro, so you could be fine. It's been really fun, walking around, flying, chatting with people. There's the usual situation where people are shy or dorks or unfriendly, but like all open chat places it just takes time to meet friendly people.... for me, about 4 hours of game time. :) I'd offer to show you around, but I'm keeping my Second Life persona separate from this one, which is too deeply enmeshed in my RL self.

Ah got it so it's the install thing. Like I said I knew it was one of the two.
Yeah I don't download stuff from the internet on my computer, not anymore since I bought this one last year. I even keep all my files on a flash disk ever since using one to remove them from my old lappy. Downloading and installing stuff from the internet can be dangerous.

Wow, Bella, that's being really cautious. So how do you get new software or music or stuff?
