My shoulders sometimes go numb or tingly or hurts because of my posture in front of the computer. I flail it around some in hopes it'll stop it from getting worse.
Some of us have work. And Cookie also spontaneously developed a social life! Went out for Korean food with my coworker. Had some Bok Bun Ja, raspberry wine, and stone pot bibimbap. But the service was terrible, they definitely forgot about us, or were ignoring us. We should have walked out and left them with the bill >_> But we didn't.
Reminds me of the time where we were at this national park or some other. I was hungry so my parents took me to this restaurant, where the entire place was pretty much empty except us and two other groups of customers. Despite us getting there first, they completely ignored us for like twenty minutes or so and were still ignoring us when we left. Assholes.
Wow. That sounds awful. You'd think that they would WANT to make money off of you!
I don't know why they kept ignoring us, they weren't ignoring the people around us. We spent a lot of money. I even got alcohol and I never get alcohol. But I really wanted to try that raspberry wine :)
Eek! From disturbing pancake smells to poor customer service! Sorry you guys went through that. I've done restaurant work before and in many cases like that either no one takes management and the service training seriously or both management and the waitstaff just don't care. Why? Because they're counting on at least three people who will put up with their behavior for every one person who doesn't. It tends to be a money game with certain restaurants. Unfortunate but true. *offers hugs, tea, and cake to everyone*
But honestly, life has been getting progressively worse for us, and this'll be our last month living here before we're removed.
So we're trying to find a way to afford a cheap camper/motorhome to live in. Just gotta sell the car, fridge and stove, and anything else we wouldn't wanna take with us/couldn't possibly take with us.
Most of the companies here are like that too. They don't bother with training their employees and just expects everyone to magically somehow know how to do everything. They probably thought the oldbies would train the newbies but oftentimes the oldbies don't bother or are too busy to do so.
My mom keeps saying that the restaurant that ignored us was probably racist or something. All the employees and the customers there were of the same ethnicity except our family. I personally don't remember much about that day (being a wee kiddie back then) and was just disappointed because the food on the menu looked so appetizing.
@Rad Lionheart: I see. Well if you need information on that kind of thing, just PM me when you're ready and I can try my best to give you links to resources I know, if you'd like?
@Antagonist: That really stinks. Yeah, sometimes you find racist people who get in positions of management or even on the waitstaff. All you can really do in those situations is not go back to that particular place until it's under new management or something. If it's a store in a chain, then I would recommend writing to someone in corporate asap. At the very least they tend to send people gift cards or some other form of compensation.
Hm, I don't think it's a chain store, it was just this lone diner near the outside of the caves we were touring through. I could still remember the general layout of the restaurant and where we sat at, but not much else aside from that.
