*peeks head in* Hello!
I hope everyone is doing fine today!! ;w ; <3
So, I was wondering, does anybody's shyness ever bother or annoy other people? Sometimes I feel like people get so frustrated with me!! LOL

Hi hi :)
I have never had anyone say outright that my shyness was annoying, but there are definitely things that I will avoid doing because of it. Making phone calls for one thing. I hate making phone calls, even to my own friends and family, but it's even worse for strangers! So I definitely procrastinate when it comes to contacting people because of that.

Oh I HATE phone calls. I got a mild case of phone-phobia (not sure if there's a term for that) from my first job at the cram school...I panic every time the phone rings. Even now I hate picking up phones...unless I check the phone and it's someone I know and is a friend or family member.
I know my parents think I'm too shy, but I've managed to stop being so shy after a few years...college and work kind helped with that, whether you like it or not. ;;

I'm better picking up the phone. It's making phone calls to people that is the worst! Even if it's my job to do it. I've had people move me to other jobs because there was just nooooooooo way I could call insurance companies all day like they wanted me to. I was just unable to and nobody understood. I can't! It's awful! I'll die! Ok, I won't die, but ugh!

Yesterday, I had to kick some lady out of our store (or try to). I had to work myself up to saying anything. We were playing the "Let's ignore her and hope she goes away" game. But she didn't. She was either mentally il or on drugs. Maybe both, who knows. She brought in a pharmacy flyer to try to buy a hamburger with. We are a taco place. We don't sell hamburgers. After some conversation with the ditzy guy manning our registers, she wandered over the pick up section of the counter and proceeded to stand there for about fifteen minutes. She approached one of my coworkers for money. She approached another asking about ....something. She forgot what she was asking midquestion and my coworker went back to doing her job. In an effort to get her to leave, the ditzy guy gave her a free drink, but then she was confused by the lack of coca-cola and stood at the drink station for ten or so minutes.
By this time, I'm getting ready to say something, despite how busy we are. I figured she was hassling the customers, on top of getting in the way. Then she asks me if she left her cell phone there. Nope, no cell phones. She keeps standing there and finally I had worked myself up enough to tell her that if she wasn't going to order food, she was going to have to leave. She was like "What did you say to me?" So I repeated myself and she got so mad. She insisted that she was waiting for her order, her hamburger. I told her that she didn't order, or pay for any food and certainly not a hamburger, since we didn't sell them. Then she claims she ordered something else. And when I told her that she didn't and she'd have to leave, she told me that I was rude and she was going to call the police. I invited her to please do so. Calling the police because the rude girl at the taco place won't give you a hamburger is pretty much a fast track to getting yourself arrested.
She still wouldn't leave though. She kept picking up receipts and insisting that they were her's, even though they had names like "Chris" and "Bob" on them. We were trying to contact one of our higher up managers to see if it was the proper response to call the police on her. Of course, right when I got in the back to get an answer, she finally left. It was so ridiculous. I wonder if she went to the hamburger place across the street and asked for a taco!
It took me forever to work myself up to telling her to leave. And I'm not even the manager! I was just the one that felt the most confident in getting rid of her. How crazy is that! Our manager at the time is still rather new and was completely beside himself as to what to do with her. Our General Manager told us today that if that happened again, just call the police. Still, it would have been better if she'd call the police about us not giving her a hamburger. :P
