Yeah, that's why nobody can make any money off the Easter Eggs we did a scavenger hunt for a few years back. Everybody has a million of them! You can't even give them away! We never had an event like that again

May I ask -- how did we end up with those eggs? I was around for the event, then went on a long hiatus and returned to discover that I had a bunch of those, but I can't remember how I got them! ^_^;

Cookie- I've been really busy lately! I moved from Maine to North Dakota for school this fall. It's actually a lot colder here. I've been busy with transitioning to a new state, and new school - where I don't know anybody! The first month or so was rough, but I think I've gotten into a decent routine now. I have made at least 4 really good friends. I even reconnected with my best friend from high school. I've been on Mene mostly around the events. I've become one of those people~ I think I'll try to be online more this year.

Also, is Winter Hipster a good dead?

@salvete - It was a scavenger hunt. They gave us a list of 40 clues and we had to look in certain places all over the forums to find the eggs. I ended up with 80 of the eggs, 40 for each account. And then I won more from various contests when people were trying to get rid of them. Basically, it flooded the market and though they are cute, there's just too many of them!

@Wrenji - Oh, big change! Hope you have a lot of fun there.

It's ok. I've become one of "those" people too. Even though Mene is one of my home pages and I am technically on it every day, I am not always present and replying. A lot of the people I used to chat with frequently just aren't around and I haven't actively sought new Mene friends. I play in the word forums sometimes and poke the anime forum, but it moves slow.

Yes, Hipster Winter is a good dead. My friend is obsessed with Captain America and Winter Soldier and we throw around silly ideas about them. The fact that Bucky is an accidental hipster is one of them. He just steals other people's clothes and Bam! Accidental hipster! XD

I know right? I definitely have more than 80 of them x_x

Cookie- I have been having a bit of fun so far. I haven't really been able to explore then city. Cities in the mid-west are large, and full of short buildings whereas cities on the East Coast are small and full of tall buildings. It's an interesting change. I really do wish it was warmer so I could explore more.

I miss a lot of people that used to be on Mene. Though, I have managed to make a few new friends. I'm trying to be a bit more bubbly and open. It's interesting the newer people that I've connected with. I'm glad to have met them.

I love James Buchanan Barnes so much. I challenged myself to make all of my avatars this year based on the Winter Soldier - meaning that I'll keep the hair color, eye color, metal arm, the beard... etc. I thought that an appropriate start of the year was Captain Winter Hipster. Mostly because of the snoods.

It'll warm up eventually and you can get out there and tackle the city. :D

Same. I guess having the Wallflowers thread has spoiled me. People used to come in and come to me. I'm not really good at going out and going to them. I'd much rather sit around and read some fanfic or watch anime.

Sounds like a fun challenge. :D I just tried to do something wintery. I think my avi just celebrated the New Year at a shrine. :D I love the little sparkler adding a pop of purple in an otherwise rather blue and teal color scheme. Then again, I just like saying pop of purple.

Man, my stomach is killing me and I don't know why. I'm really hoping that it doesn't make me puke because my face already looks like pepperoni pizza from throwing up the other night x_x It breaks the blood vessels in my face and it's just gross. Stay down food. Stay down!

Sad thing is, I'm going back to Maine for the summer. :-/ So I won't get to explore as much as I want to.

I think one of my personal resolutions was to be more bold, and outgoing. I wonder how much I'll stick to it.

Your avatar looks gorgeous. I've always admired people that can pull off two-three color combinations. I tend to get stuck when I try to do more, my layering just isn't that great with certain colors. Also, "pop of purple" is really fun to say.

Thanks so much some people go way overboard with their layers and their colors. I like to think that even with this color palette, I'm still in the realm of "keep it simple stupid" XD I was going to go with white gloves, but the green ones were the cheapest on the shop and they just worked. You never know till you try a bunch of stuff on. :) I also tried to use the fallen blue petals, but they're a different shade of blue and didn't look good. My avis are very much trial and error.

Me too. I don't know why it's mad at me!

Cookie Clone~ Ugh, I wish I had a car. I'll probably go around to a few places with a couple of friends. Some of the actually have cars.

I know! I had one of the blue snoods on originally... but it didn't match the blue of the pants. It bugged me so much that I decided to buy the red one, just so it would match better.

Not having a car in a place with crappy public transit is such a drag! It was fine when I briefly lived in Berkeley, California or when I visit Boston or New York City, but other than that, it's such a pain. Around here, the people that take the bus to and from work are constantly sitting around for extra hours, slaves to the bus' infrequent schedule. Or they have to wait for rides because the bus only does four runs a day, crappy stuff like that.

That's the problem with shades of color. Lots of things can be red, but different shades don't always work. I think Mene is pretty good about putting out items in certain palettes that match. They have their basics. It can still be a challenge, but that's half the fun!

Let's see, looks like there are three green skins. An alien skin, a poisoned skin or a green snake skin.

I think the alien skin would be the best one to use, considering that the other two have secondary colors.

She could stay the invisible plant lady too. It's probably the cheapest option!

:D I got curious about skins. I know we had at least one green. And of course, I own none of them. I am super lazy about collecting EIs. Even when I want them, I don't buy them and then I kick myself.

I don't have many of the CIs (or EIs for that matter), which is why my quest list is super long! lol

I have a few EIs. When I can afford it, I try to support Mene by buying some Mennies and then I can buy a neat EI now and then. I've also won some cool ones form contests during events too. :D

There's a lot of EIs that I don't really care for, but I still have a pretty sizable list of ones I'd like to get as well.

I think I have a full EI set of everything from...quite a while. I have missed out on some of the earlier events. I joined back in 07, was active for a while and then wandered off. So I missed a lot of that, which is a shame because a lot of that stuff is pretty valuable now! Cookie no baka!
