I am also one of the earlier users, but I was never really active on Menewsha except during certain events. I missed a ton of the events because I wasn't active between events and didn't receive any emails about them. ^_^;

I was still on Gaia back in the beginning there. I've long since abandoned it. Once they introduced those lucky box items and ways to earn free money to buy them, the economy when to shit. And I mostly only posted in a guild I was in and that sort of died out.

I used to be on Gaia as well. Then, I took a two-year hiatus between the time when things were normal and the things were super inflated. Needless to say, it was a shocking surprise. xD

I think I joined in 2010... actually... I think my Meneversary is coming up soon. I remember I joined during a Festival of Winter Nights. I bought every CI I could for, like, the next two years... I haven't been able to get any of the more recent CIs. I've been focusing on saving my gold too, for events - because I don't post as much as most people and thus don't get that much event currency. I try to get at least one set of event items each event. Just to say that I have them.

I used to only post during events and then go on long hiatuses in between. ^_^ now, I am kind of staying active between events to save up gold and/or catch up on buying items that I missed.

@Salvete - I haven't been back to Gaia in ages. Wonder what new horrors lurk!

My Meneversary is almost the same as my birthday. It's just off by ten days. I joined around the time of one of the summer events. Celes Paradi and the Phoenix Jubilee were some of my first events :D

That's how I was for the past couple of years... But I'm going to try to get better this year. Mene really helps me manage my stresses.

It probably doesn't help that I don't always feel like talking to some of the people that pop up. >_> I can be quite antisocial. Like, no, I don't want to talk to you about that, again.

I met one of my best friends on Gaia, YEARS AND YEARS Ago... but I rarely am on over there. But some good came of that site, you just needed to know where to look. :]

I didn't have a bad time on Gaia, it just degraded over the years. *shrugs*

Oh definitely agree with you there. It's so full of trolls and the like now! And the economy has drastically gone down the drain! But even years ago, you needed to know where to look, to find the good people. :]

That's why I tended to stick to my guild. We were pretty strict about who we let in. Conversation could be decent. Every now and then I'd venture out into the wilderness.

That sounds good, and much safer. That's where I met my best friend, in a guild. ^_^ I've even flown down to meet her.

You never know where you'll meet your best friends. ^_^ Mine just happens to be 8 years older than me, and 17 hours ahead of me (so it makes it hard to keep in touch, but we make it work! We've made it work for 11 years now. :])

I'm kind of in the middle age-wise on Mene. I'm not as old as the original members, but there are a lot of new member that are under 18.

Age shouldn't matter though! As long as people act mature, that's all that matters to me - maturity. :]
But see, to me, acting ones age and maturity don't always go hand in hand - it's knowing when to act appropriately and just not be childish, if that even makes sense.

I often like to think my mental age is somewhere around 10.

The longest flights I've ever taken have been form Boston to England. I've gone farther than that into Europe, but that wast the longest single flight.
