@cloud - Yeah. I sleep during the day a lot, so gotta keep out the evil sun. *hiss*
@salvete - No. I don't really like puffer coats either. And puffer coats and the wooly felt coats seem to be the coats the cover butts, but I don't like t hem. *sighs* I'm doomed.
My current jacket looks like this. Comes down just over my butt, but it still lets the chilly air in. Brrr.
I should treasure the sun because we're not getting as much of it now that it's winter, but like I said, I sleep during the day a lot. I only want sun when it's convenient to me. The sun should totally obey my commands and only come out when I'm ready!
I have a teal jacket, but it's too hot of a jacket to have down at school with me, so I hardly get to wear it anymore. :(
Heh... Southern California has missed the memo that it's winter... :/ I'm not looking forward to heading back down there again. Back into the land of eternal summer.
Mine is actually red, but I bought it so long ago that I couldn't find a picture of it on the internet I like it, but it can be hard to layer under. If I put something too thick on, I can't move my arms properly x_x
Give me some summer and I'll give you some winter! *throws a snowball*
@salvete - I'm chubby. I don't need things puffing up and making me look even puffier Plus, those things are usually filled with down and once that down decides it wants to come out, it's sharp and stabby and gets on everything and just looks messy.
Take it - I'd love to see the locals to SoCal deal with snow... It'd make me bust up laughing. They complain when it hits 70... O.o D: Drives me mental.
I got my jacket as a gift, so I don't know how to find it online - and I'm too lazy to take a pic of it myself. xD
It's cold here, but not as cold as it was these past few days when the wind was crazy and dragging the temperature down more. It snowed yesterday too.
@salvete - I'm originally from Louisiana. I don't come from a cold weather place, so I don't do all these special cold weather things that people do. I only just bought my first pair of tights last month. But I don't wear them under my pants, because I'm usually just running from my car into work or into a store. I hate having layers on that I can't strip off at a moment's notice when the temperature changes. I don't want to be wearing tights under my pants and work and suddenly I'm sweating buckets. That's why I hate hoodies or other sweatshirts that you have to pull over your head. I want to be able to escape them quickly. Give me zippers and buttons please.
So yeah, Cookie does not wear tights because she doesn't want sweaty legs and can put up with a cold butt for a few minutes, even though it sucks.
I understand what you're saying about the tights and zippered hoodies :) it's freezing outside, but my workplace is super warm. Sometimes, I end up taking off everything on top except my t-shirt ^_^;
That was me when I used to live in Quincy, tons of layers - only way to stay warm between my apartment and the barn, but then once I got into the barn, it would be hot so I would take off a ton of layers. Which all had to go back on when I had to go out to work with the horses, or back to my apartment. xD
Anyway, I usually wear a light sweater under my jacket. I just got a bunch of cute cardigans. And I have some cute loopy scarfs and mittens. I rock some mittens because my fingers get lonely in gloves.
I rarely have to properly layer anymore because where I live, it doesn't get cold enough for layers. Which means I can't use scarves anymore. D: I love scarves! But it's not cold enough for scarves. :(
Yep, I do have a few of my scarves down there with me, but they usually just sit in my closet. If anything, I can always use them for splashes of color in my room.
