Alrighty, as long as the entire movie as a whole as a happy ending, that is good enough for me. Have you ever watched Halloweenie? That was one of those movies that had a lot of sad stuff happening during the course of the movie, but the ending was super happy so it made all of the sad stuff worth it, in a weird way.
Oohh what is your tumblr? I am not a tumblrer...if that's what you call it...but I do like to browse the ones that friends share and such!

I feel like I saw Halloweenie, but I don't really remember it well. Was it the Frankendog one or is that different? The old school live action one, not the recent claymation or CG or whatever one that came out.
I link you with the forewarning that Cookie is a yaoi fangirl, so shippy and smutty stuff is all over the place. So if that's not your cuppa tea, well, run! Run far away! Swiftly, like the wind!

Sorry I disappeared... I got distracted trying to sew together the felt Australian Flag that I was making. I think it turned out pretty good! Despite being a bit out of proportion, and all that, but not bad for being done free handed! :D

Looks cute. :)
I just got back from seeing the last Hobbit movie. I knew what was coming and I still cried. It was a movie that made me sigh a lot, and slap my forehead. Thorin, you did so many dumb things -_-;;

Thanks! ^_^
I'm kind of boycotting those movies, honestly. It bothers me how they turned them into 3 movies, when the book is a book I can read in a day. D: Greedy people - those movie making people are.

I haven't read the book, but I'm surprised they split it up into three movies already! Is that the last movie or are they planning to make a fourth?

The book is crazy short - it's shorter than any of the books in the trilogy... oh, it's only three movies, for a book that I can listen to on audio book in one day. I can read it as well in only one day too. *sighs* Oh well. So yeah, I'm not going to see them, because I refuse to give them my moneys. I spend my moneys on fancy art pens. :P

It is pretty hilarious that the shortest book of them all got three movies, when each individual book of the Lord of the Rings trilogy only got a single movie each. But, people always said that Lord of the Rings was something that would never be brought to the screen for various reasons. It was sort of testing the waters. Nobody would have given each book more than one movie back then. They had to prove themselves first. Maybe in the future when someone remakes them, as will inevitably happen, because Hollywood is such a fan of recycling, they'll give each book more than one movie.
I think two movies for the Hobbit would have been just fine. Some of the scenes they trimmed down to fit other stuff in is curious. And they shoehorned an unnecessary romance in there. But whatcha gonna do. Some people think they can't have a movie without shoving a romance in there. Look at just about every generic action movie. They have to put a hot chick in there for the hero to win. :P
Even though, the Hobbit sort of did have a romance....between Thorin and Bilbo. Like, they went out of their way to draw parallels between Bilbo and Thorin's relationship and Kili and Tauriel's relationship. My cousin and I were cracking up. Thorin definitely wanted Bilbo as his bride.

Yeah, I don't know. I just see it more as they just wanted more money, but *shrugs* Eh, can't stop them... Meh. Glad you enjoyed it though -it just isn't something I can get myself to go and spend money on. *shrugs* I'll just go and re-read the book. :]

What's wrong with wanting more money? Doesn't everybody want more money these days? I agree, they probably wanted more money, but never doubt that Peter Jackson and crew used the opportunity to expand on the Tolkein universe that so many people love. He put some groundwork in place for the Lord of the Rings movies that follow. It's not necessary work, but it is a nod to the fans. So what's wrong with it? *Shrugs*

Oh, I know... but to me - turning a book that is smaller than the first book in the trilogy... into three movies... That is just not right. Just how I feel. I know that my dad, who is a MASSIVE Tolkien fan - having read the books (the trilogy) when they were first published years ago - refuses to really see these movies because they've messed them up so badly by putting in things that weren't actually in the original book. Personal preference. Plus I don't handle violence and action well at all on the big screen. I can barely handle it on my laptop.

You're allowed to like it - I'm allowed to not like it... Agree to disagree. No one said that everyone has to agree on everything. ^_^

I just think it's kind of funny. It's not the worst moneygrab movie out there by far. And I appreciate what they're trying to accomplish. By no means are they all great movies, but they tried. *shrugs*
Not saying you have to like them or see them. Everyone has their own preferences. Personally, I don't bother with romances. Bleh.
Go get more Connie. Pick some up for me. :D

I don't hate romance. I just don't like it being the plot. If it just sort of happens naturally within a story, ok. It if IS the story, no thanks.

I sometimes like romance, or Romcom... it depends on who is in it and the storyline and how well it's been written/acted etc.. I'm picky. I really don't watch many movies.

Every now and then I'll see a trailer for a romance and go "That sounds kind of interesting" but ultimately, I never watch them. I have so many other things that I really want to see to spend my time on. Why waste is on something that only kinda sounds interesting?

You ever watch a movie and tell yourself "Well, that was pretty ok." Not good, not great, not bad either. Just ok. That was Maze Runner. It wasn't bad, it had its moments, but it was just ok. But hey, I guess I'll see the next one when it comes out...on DVD, for a buck.

I haven't even seen the trailer, but all the media says the film is blowing up. It's not really in my area of interest, so I doubt I'll ever see it.
Honestly, I rarely go to the movies or even rent. I see, maybe, one movie a month. If that. I tend to spend more time watching anime and reading. #bignerd :D
