*flops limply on the thread* I'm alive. x_x I was battling my cold. It wasn't super bad, but work was sooooooooo stressful over the damn weekend I called out on Monday just to escape from how hectic it was. After two days of sleeping and eating soup and stuff, I feel loads better :D

That sounds wrong.

Depends on how close to the house your idiot family/friends/neighbors are doing them and how high the grade of fireworks is I guess. More expensive shells can be pretty damn loud. Professional grade stuff can be super devastating. In other words, normal people should not have them because they literally blow themselves up with them. Gotta keep in mind that fireworks are just pretty sky bombs.

Yeah Ava! The powerball jackpot is $700million and the drawing isn't till Saturday, so it's bound to go up. I'm gonna try to remind myself to buy a ticket tomorrow. It's not a habit of mine, but I figure I'll buy one for me, one for my grandparents and one for the dog. Wouldn't it be funny if the dog won? :D

@Ava - It's just big news because it's the biggest jackpot ever! And yes, that's exactly how the jackpot happens. The money people use to buy tickets goes into the pot. All the people flocking to buy tickets made the jackpot swell from 800million to 900million. It's a frenzy! If no one wins today's draw, it will get even larger!
