I am moving there to pursue a career in the arts. :D
It's been my dream since I was a wee one to become a musician and an actress and right now, where I live, there are not a lot of opportunities for that.

I'm a ram with the family and a sheep with everybody else. No, a lamb.

My parents usually respect me, so I give them respect in return...
But the rest of my family are a bunch of heartless bastards and I hardly ever see them (thank Satan) so I usually just give them absolutely no respect because they do shit all to deserve it.

My parents have said they don't think parents should try to be their kids' friend, yet they want me to treat them like a friend???

I've told them I don't like being told what to do, and since that's what parents are there to do, they're always going to upset me and we cannot have a friendly relationship. That's probably why kids are more tolerant of their parents after they move out. Nobody wants to be controlled!

Yeah, being controlled isn't fun. :C
But it makes sense for parents to "control" their really small children... But when your child is older, it gets kind of pointless to control them.
