Adulting is so overrated.

I don't think anyone really has "adult skills" unless you're a lawyer or a doctor or something. xD

And it's really hard to have adult responsibility unless you have children or pets. :s

Everyone falls for the "you can do what you want" tales about adulthood except me.

I keep telling my parents, "I'm an adult I can do what I want!"
And they just sigh and shake their heads...

My momma got mad at me for not acting more like an adult, and I asked her how I can be more of an adult when she preaches about how we are perpetually nothing but her children to her.

I tell my mom things like that too. "Mom! You need to let me make my own mistakes."

EXCATLY! Being told what to do all the time drives me crazy.

It's so bad. I wish parents would just let their kids make their own mistakes sometimes, even if they know the mistake would hurt them, just let your child live for a change! People learn from mistakes, if we never make mistakes, we never learn!

More like, some of us hate being told what to do so much that we won't listen. We'll only listen if we learn from our own experience. And no, we will not be like, "WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME?" We'll be like, "I've learned to do it X way to avoid Y happening. *happily does it X way*"

Hahaha.

I guess some people are like that.
I don't like it when people tell me what to do. When they tell me what to do, if I have the means, then I end up doing it anyway.
But I usually do what I want, anyway.

I don't mind being told what to do every step of the way when I have no idea what I'm doing. Once I know, though, it's time to turn me loose.

Yeah, I am the same way.
I don't mind learning new things, but once I learn, then I am ready to step out on my own.

Even then, though, there are some things I want to learn on my own.

Sometimes I think I learn better on my own, academically.

I think I am the opposite,
I want to learn life lessons on my own, but academically, I can learn on my own, but I might need help from a teacher to understand completely.

With some things, I need a teacher to tell me I'm doing it right so I have confidence in my knowledge.

I did pretty good in online school when I was learning on my own,
But I didn't have the discipline to submit my assignments in on time at first.
In my last year, I graduated early with great grades. :D

I am really disappointed in myself now that the event is done. :(
I totally forgot to buy all the commons I wanted! >:(

Yeah, is it just me or are event lengths just not cutting it anymore!?

I mean, maybe EI rares can keep the same ~1.5-weekish availability, but I'd love for an event commons shop and event currency to stay open for a solid 2-2.5 weeks. Just not enough hours in the day. D:
