so sorry about your bunnie, abbie.
i had an angora long haired bunnie.
someone moved her to the top of the entertainment table,
in her cage.
but, the kerosene heater was on and she died from the fumes.
it was rreally sad.
she was so soft and loving, too.

I was going to cosplay as Ranmou.
We had a rabbit it went nasty I was the only one it was alright with. Mum said if she'd know how nice guinea pigs were she would've have one insted of the rabbit.

Always helps if you spell her name properly Ranmao. I want to spell it mou because that's how it sounds when you say cat in Chinese.

You should get rats, they are very clean animals, and they don't bite.

hmm that would be interesting, but i doubt hubby would let me get a rat. i just know that my guinea pigs are messy and they sure eat a lot. would help if i cleaned their cage everyday like i should, but still.
hummy: maybe i'll just get a dog instead. :ninja: we found a little black Schnauzer mix running around and i whistled at him, and here he came running inside the house. so we called the animal control and they found his home. :) he sure was a good doggy, and kaleb was sad he had to leave. it was funny watching him chase our cats around.

rats are actually rather misunderstood animals, a lot of people are afraid of them or think they are dirty but in the rodent family they are the smartest, most social, and cleanest out there. They are great in groups and are generally amazing pets. If you are interested get your hubby to do a little research on them maybe go see them at the pet store and see what he thinks. I have three rats and sevral friends that at first wouldn't come to visit my house because they are afraid of them lol. I gave them some basic info on rats and got them to meet the little guys and I have since completely converted them to rat lovers. :p
Dogs are also a good option as well if you don't want anything in the rodent family again :)

Pet rats are rather clean.
I don't think the "urban" rats are all that clean.

They are actually despite having desises (which they get at birth or through being near toxins humans leave out) they are scavengers that actually clean up a lot of the garbage we leave around. They may not be clean themselves, due to living in the enviroment they are living in but they are very tidy animals. It's sort of humans fault that they aren't clean unfortunatly, otherwise they would be, the only difference would be our pet rats would be tame and those that are out in the wild would act as and be as clean as any other untamed animal.

My step daughter had a pet rat when she lived with us.
Her name was Moon.
She was very loving.
(and she tickled when she walked on you)

I wish I could get a rat/mouse.
But I've got two cats who were born with the hunting instinct. They would go absolutely batshit trying to get at it.

Rats are lovely pets, but like every animal they can bite. So I disagree that they don't. I've had chunks out of my fingers many a time from my old pet rats. [:

some bitter apple fixed that bad habit!
