We're going in April...hubby's sister is coming to it.

We're in Section 110...but I can't remember the row number, either 59 or 60 maybe.

It's right across from the pit exit. Great seats.

Our first season tickets were section 132 around rows 30 or so.

But we moved because we were right by an exit, and people kept getting in the way of seeing. Also, I wanted the regular seats rather than bench seats...

I don't know about prices. I haven't looked for so long to see what they cost.

What day are you flying into Dallas? Or are you driving? (I forget where you live).
If you're flying in on Friday, then be careful which route you take to get to Denton.

TMS is right at the intersection of I-35 and Hwy 114 (or is it 14, I always get it wrong). If you take 14 from the airport to go over to I-35 and then up to Denton, you'll be going right by TMS, and if it's late Friday afternoon, traffic is going to be pretty bad. The Nationwide race is that night.

I know we're expecting bad traffic. We pick hubby's sister up at the airport at 1:30 on Friday...

we live in Liberal, Ks, so we will be driving. plan so far is get up early saturday, leave about 7 am and drive to Denton, check in to motel, then head to the track. check in at the motel is 2. he plans on being at the track by like at 3. i hope that isn't too late. otherwise we'll have to leave friday and he doesn't really want to stay in motel two nights. :/

Lots of times when they say check-in times, they'll let you check in earlier...

So you could leave earlier and try to check in. If they won't let you, then you can just go grab a bite to eat...

Coming at 3:00, you're going to run into quite a bit of traffic, so it's going to take longer to get to a parking space.

Hubby and I talked it over, and we have a deal for you...

With our season tickets, we get a free PSL/VIP Parking pass. It gets you into the parking that shows as blue to the left of the track. There are also special ways to get out that supposedly bypasses most of the traffic.

I'm not sure how that works, cuz we never park there, since we just walk to the track from the RV. There may be more information on the TMS web page. Just look up PSL/VIP Parking.

The pass is yours if you want it. All you have to do is PM me your address, and I'll mail it off...
But I can understand if you don't want to give your address out...

sounds like we better try to get there sooner then, we aren't really used to driving in bad traffic. :P and maybe if i call and ask they will tell me if we can check in earlier or not.

We never use it, and generally either it sits in the folder being wasted, or we give it away to somebody...

OK...well, let me know. If you're going to park there, then you won't need the PSL/VIP parking.

Just remember the distances you're looking at...the track surface itself is 1.5 miles around, so the map is deceiving...things are pretty far away.

There are only a few entrances and exits to the VIP parking.
You can't get into the lot from just anywhere.

That's why I was thinking you'd have to find the map...
I know there are signs to the VIP/PSL parking around where our RV lot is, but I don't know what signs there are on those northernmost roads. We're never up there...

We found a traffic map that shows how they force the incoming traffic...
Coming from Denton, you're going to have to exit and go down that road to the north...so from there I'm not sure how you get into the PSL parking.

We haven't gotten our tickets yet, so now we aren't sure if they say VIP/PSL Parking, or if they just say PSL Parking...

Oh, but our seats are Section 110, Row 50, seats 15-18.

Oh ok, i think we got bleacher seats. :( We are section 432 Row 38 Seats 3-4.

all righty, hubby says if you don't need the parking he'd be ok with taking it. :) only if you don't need it though!
