Solo Vino is such a mellow puppy!
Our other puppy that we had, Tobi, was way too hyper.
Every time mom would go to the backyard to smoke,
he'd never leave her alone, but Vino just lays next to her and naps.

It was!
He whined a little, but then he went inside his little home that we made him.
So far he's been staying inside the patio area, and he occasionally explores the rest of the yard.

No offense to your Hubby, but he doesn't seem to care about anything. :stare:
As for Dewey, not sure what to do about that.
Seems kind of spoiled to me.
Has he always done that before, or is this new?
Maybe he's not been litter trained properly or something. Dx
(Doesn't know anything about cats)

It may be a population issue. When my momma cat had litters and they weren't adopted for quite a long time, they started using the bathroom behind the TV stand, under beds and in random other places. According to that cat whisperer guy on Animal planter, for one single cat you're supposed to offer 2 litter boxes! (I KNOW! kinda outragous right!!) How many boxes do you currently offer for your seven cats?
Another thing is it's a lot of territory, especially if they aren't all spayed or neutured. Also think about when the cat's were brought together, is your Dewey a newer kitten? Cleaning wise, try using some baking soda mixed with water. That should help neutralize the smell that's left behind in their amonia. scub the best you can, let it dry and vaccume if you'd like. It may help to sprinkle a bit more baking soda down before you use your vaccume. If you're able to get to the flooring under that spot, wash it well!!
I hope this helps, I'm not a professional but I've been around cat's since I was brought home from the hospital and have an unbridaled passion to know a lot about them. Just know that this may also be a psycological problem and the cat may need a smaller family.

Ok i'll tell you our histroy, haha. We started out with Penny when we lived in the apartment. We adopted her from the pound. Everything was good, she used the box even if it got really yucky. Then hubby decided she needed a friend. So we went to the pet shop and found Stormy. That's when the floor pottying began. Stormy always peed on the bathroom rug whether the box was clean or not. We wound up with two more cats while were at the apartment but one was sick and I took him to father in law's shop. so when we moved to the house, June 2011, we had three kitties, Penny, Stormy and Daisy. We went to the pet shop one day and saw this little black and white kitten, hubby just had to have. So then we had four cats again. It was ok until Daisy got sick and started going on the floor, i mean it was really bad. My dad took her to live with a friend of his and she's doing better now that they've taken her to vet. But hubby was upset i gave away Daisy and saw an ad in the paper, so then we got two more kitties; Macy and Taddy. So we had five, Penny, Stormy, Rigby, Macy, and Taddy. Well Stormy went into heat and started running outside and we had five kittens in like January. We gave away four, but one came back leaving us with seven cats. So right now we have Penny, Stormy, Rigby, Macy, Taddy, Dewey and Sophie. Dewey and Sophie are the kittens we kept.
The real floor pottying problems at our house started when we got Macy and Taddy. I made hubby get like three more litter boxes and everything was fine again till we had kittens. Right now we have two litter boxes up stairs and three in the basement. I admit i'm not good at scooping everyday, but when i do scoop i notice like only two of the boxes have been really used. I know we should have eight boxes, but where would I put them all?
Everyone is fixed but the two kittens (Dewey and Sophie) and Stormy. I kept meaning to get Stormy fixed but we run into money troubles and can never afford it.
Macy's problem is her and Rigby fight now, so when she goes back to use the box, she gets ambushed. So she just goes where she can. >.> I really think she'd be better off in a one cat home.
I've used water and vinegar, several different "pet mess" cleaners, put foil down, pine cones, orange and lemon peels; nothing seems to work.
*Sigh* that's a lot of information...

Your.. husband.. got upset... so you got two cats to compensate for the loss of one?
And he just "had to" have another kitty on impulse...
You have a crazy cat lady for a hubby. That's the problem.
And I say this with all affection, because I have two cats and I know how it is.
As far as the potty problem.. I'm assuming you've tried using ammonia and bleach where you could? Because if they keep using certain spots, it's probably because the scent is still there. As long as they can smell that there's been pee/poop there, they'll go there.
