HIM only agrees with declawing if it's in the interest of the cat. HIM's friend's cat had one toe declawed after he ripped it out and it was likely to become infected.
Ugh I noticed today when I fed Memo that his tank or something is leaking. the top of kaleb's dresser is ruined. :( I dunno if the filter is overflowing or what. I do know that cats think it's their personal drinking fountain so i wonder when they jump up there to get a drink, if they aren't overflowing it. :/ I now have to find a different place for him, right now he's on the kitchen counter, but i know hubby won't let him stay there. Sophie is already up there getting a drink.

Ouch... Poor cat.
If the cat is an indoor cat, it should have all its claws removed. Less stress on buying new furniture and clawed up doorways. That's what my cats all have gone through new/old. And they get fixed. We've never bred our cats because that's so much trouble. We did once, though, back when I was 6? With Stormy but after her, nuuuu!
Although, before they started using more stitches and cauterizing the openings of the paws--they used glue to close shut my brothers former cat Leo, which made it take longer to heal and stuffuu. :( But modernly, they are excellent at declawing cats. They even offer the laser removal now. (Idk if that costs more than the regular one, though). And in my town, if you take 2 cats to get their shots, claws removed, and fixed--you get a discount and it only cost me 280$, I think?
On a side note, as my cats are strictly indoor with no other pets, they have never been sick or have fleas. I also always washed them since they were babies. Though, since Vinny (my boy cat) is 63 now and has gotten old, he can't stand water for some reason, he goes into epileptic seizures. But Gabby (my girl cat) which I think she's 40-50 now? She can still get baths but I have to rush over to the tub or cover her eyes before I go into the bathroom because she pees herself T A T;
But in light of Geek Week--I wanted to share this with you guys. It made me laugh XD
i love it, Miro!
thank you for sharing it with us.
dresser is ruined, llonka?
can you find something plastic to put in in and leave it on top of his dresser?
like a plastic container for storage under the bed?
Upon further investigation (I sound pretty professional there huh ) It is the filter. For some reason it's spilling out the sides and down the clip that hangs on the back of the tank. My counter was soaked. I thought about moving the tank to my room, on my little bedside table. I dunno hubs would allow that either. I thought maybe i should lay like walmart bags on the dresser, then a towel. I better figure out how to fix the filter first.
On another note: I took Delphi to the kitty hospital today to get his abscess drained. It swelled really big over the weekend and all he did was sleep. I really hope he does okay and feels better after this.
I really don't think he had any idea, we told him bye before the lady could whisk him away. :( I hope he doesn't think I abandoned him, I'm only trying to help. Hopefully it doesn't cost too much, but it had to be done. Think the vet is going to give us arthritis meds too. xP
All day saturday and sunday he laid on the couch. Sometimes he'll hold my hand with his paw. He reminds me so much of my kitty at my parents' house and I think that's why i've grown so attached to him already.
I guess not. Poor kitty. Finally got him home, and he's still pretty out of it. They sliced and diced the poor guy and left the cut open so it can drain. Upset Jacob pretty bad.
