I'm mildly allergic to our cat, but no matter what I do, I can't keep him off my bed, and I just deal with it. He's too cute, and it's not too bad, my allergy, thankfully. :)

my dad is really allergic to pet dander and I remember when I was little he wanted to give away my dog and I remember standing there telling him I would rather give him away and I'll start walking back into the house and I turned around and looked at him and said I'm serious you know and I meant it with all of my heart I still feel kinda bad about that we gave away the dog needless to say

Cloud: My cat allergy is pretty bad. My kitty has to live outside and I go out there to love on him and then immediately wash my hands and face.
hummy: Awww, I think your dad probably understood. Little kids have a hard time understanding things like that.

hummy: Awww! That's sad! :( But I know I probably would have reacted the same way if I was in your shoes.
Mags: Aww, at least you have a way of giving him some attention. Does it work if you wash your hands immediately after? :]

Indeed. Otherwise he would get no attention and I would feel terrible.

Well, I found his litter when he was two weeks old and he'll be fourteen this year. So...14 years!

I HATE commercials like that. The ones that make me cry in the middle of a perfectly good day.

it's the first time i have seen that particular one and it really hits you hard. i just don't know what is wrong with people. they fight them and losers are just left to die. how heartless!

i was shocked when Vick was arrested for dog fighting. he said it was his culture. i just don't like any of it, cock fighting or even beta fish fighting. i'm a bleeding heart, so says my dad

I think forcing animals to fight for entertainment is despicable. And I don't care if it's your "culture" or not. If you live in a civilized society, you know better.
Also, I don't even like football, but I actively root for any team going against Vick's. I can't believe they're letting him have dogs again. Because he has a lot of money that he can buy his way out of trouble.

i'm an eagles fan. he wanted his kids to have pets. so i am hoping his heart is in the right place and he won't do anything like that again. i feel everyone deserves a second chance. hopefully he won't blow it

I feel like anyone who can watch an animal suffer and actually take part in killing one has some part of their humanity missing. I don't think they can ever be whole.

i have seen my family hunting and it was disheartening for me. i even got banned from going along because i would warn the deer. =3 i get needing to feed your family but i just could never do it.

Yeah, I'm fine with hunting if you're actually going to EAT the animal. I don't like sport hunting. Well, I give room for a couple of exceptions. White tailed deer hunting keeps the populations in check so they and other animals don't starve to death.
I am even okay putting animals to sleep (I've actually been the one pushing the plunger on the syringe). In fact, I'd prefer that death for myself to some of the ones I've witnessed.
But for entertainment? That's disgusting.

Hahaha, oh goodness. Youth in Asia.
I don't mind it as long as there is a good reason for it. Sometimes it's a relief because you can see how much pain the animal is in and you can feel it relax when you inject the serum. But I can see how it would be hard.

Haha. Indeed, that would have been an odd question.
Although, they legitimately ask you if you've had your spleen removed before they let you work at a vet's office. It always felt like a weird question even though I know the reason.

Nice! The average lifespan of an outdoor cat is 2 years, so I'm glad that our guy seems to be living more like an indoor cat would. But 14 is senior cat level. So I want to make his remaining days as happy and comfortable as possible.
