oh, llonka i am so glad she came home.
lol, boys do 'talk' ;p .
you'll know soon enough, huh?

so today my little guy, wylie, decides to dry my hair for me.
he comes up to me and i think he is just going to give me headbutts.
but no, instead he puts both paws on my shoulder and gives me a few licks then grabs my head and starts biting me.
he is really strong and when i tried to pull away he kinds of laid his weight *i tell him he weighs forty-three and a half pounds*. but he is only about twenty pounds and i had him fixed when he was only four months old!
he was acting like a crazy cat! he kept doing it for a bit then looks at me and grrrrs and jumps in my lap.
O.o
i think he was telling me i am his people ;] and he is the dominate one!

hahaha how cute hummy!!

stormy got out again last night. :P this time she met some doggies. we were laying in bed and i heard the dogs from the across the street barking by our window, and i'm like "is stormy outside?" and hubby goes, "YES!!!!" so we hurried out there and i shooed them away and went to open the door to get a flash light and in she ran. :P hope that teaches her a lesson now!! heard the dogs yelp so i'm sure she scratched them.

sounds like she may be in heat llkona.
i'm glad she keeps coming back home though.
you could try to feed her wet food and keep her really full.
that may keep her inside until her urge goes away.

i had my kitties microchipped but one of them is from like home finders or something.
they have a yearly fee which i haven't had the extra money to renew so i panic i will lose him.

i saw one of the skunks getting chased and i think beaten up by a cat a few weeks ago.
i was wondering why the skunk was running away instead of spraying him.
seems to me he should have stood his stinky ground and sprayed him but good!

i don't this she is right now, she hasn't been howling. we need to get them fixed, but when you have little money, that's not an option. :(

wow i'm surprised the skunk didn't spray them!

DaisyKeehl: would you like to share any stories or pictures about your pets?
we would love to hear the stories or see the pictures or just chat with us!

@ llonka ~~ you should call your local veternarian's office.
i had my wylie fixed for free.
my area pays to keep the animal population down.
the cost was sixty-one dollars and i did not have to pay a dime.
it's worth the effort to check and see if it might be free or for very little money.
i sure hope she finishes soon and stops going outside.
*keeps stormy in my prayers*

Hey, Hummy!! I'm finally popping into your pet topic. x3

I'll post some pics and stuff in a minute, but first I want to make a recommendation to llonka:
When we got my older dog, Samson, and my cat, Oscar, we had them both neutered at the local animal shelter and it cost about half as much as it would have at the vet. They offer deals for low income pet owners because they'd much rather "nip it in the bud" than have to take in a bunch of unwanted puppies and kittens later on. You should definitely look into this option! You might have to fill out a little bit of paper work, but it's totally worth it.

June: i dont think our shelter does that. :( we adopted Penny from the shelter and they had us take her to the vet. :P thank you for the suggestion though!

Well, if you haven't already checked into it, I'd still ask. The shelter didn't neuter and spay the animals on site; they took them to a local vet (was actually the vet we usually took our pets to lol). My husband just found out that if you filled out the paper work and dropped your pet off at the shelter, then they'd take your pet to the vet and have it spayed/neutered, then you just pick them back up from the shelter later. I'd at least inquire about it. Nothing to lose, ya know! ;)

thank you for stopping in Junebug!
when you have time for posting the pictures is good, no rush.

llonka i would call the local city hall or chamber of commerce to see where to have pets fixed for a low or no cost fee.
i'm sad your local veternarian doesn't do your community a good turn by offsetting the costs to keep the pet population down.
keep looking for any assistance you can find because adopting a pet from your local animal shelter is helping your community!
they should help you in return in my opinion anyway.
stormy, penny and the other kitties are very lucky to have y'all.

a scary but happy ending story about wylie.
one night while making homemade pizza.
*corn, potato crown, onions, ham and bacon pizza to be exact*
i am preheating the oven before i put the pizza in to bake and my kittie is running around the kitchen playing with his favorite toy,
a little pink hot dog i call his 'weenie' since he was fixed ;].
i turn to get the pizza and place it in the ovec and close the door.
i hear the bottom of the oven creaking and i almost don't think anythig of it.
i figured it was the heat making it pop a bit with expansion.
but then i don't see my kittie so i 'have' to look inside knowing how he loves to go in cabinets and such.
i open the oven and he just grrrrs at me!
i screamed at him to get out and he does so nonshalantly.
like it was no big thing mom whatcha so upset about?????
i almost baked my kittie!
i would have been devestated!
and i was heading downstairs to play some video games and would never have heard him crying for help.
i thank God he nudged me to check the oven.

so tell me, has anyone almost baked their pet?
or anything something like that?

Alright Hummy if you wish.

I've had my dog Cheyenne for at least 8 years now and as such she is getting up there in age.

About a month ago she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. The vet put her on furosemide half a tablet twice a day and enalapril half a tablet twice a day.

Well, all was well until about 2 days ago when she was breathing really bad and kept passing out. (Was horrible, she'd twitch,flail,howl..)

So we took her back in. We then had a x-ray done. The vet said her heart is abnormally large and that her lungs are/where filled with fluid. As such the vet upped the dosage of Furosemide to a full pill twice a day and added Vetmedin, quarter of a pill twice a day. Sense that day she seems to be back to normal.

But I still watch her and hope that the next day won't be her last.

I have one, hold on.

Thank you btw.

Yeah we thought she was gonna die that night, she was in that bad of shape.

This picture is older, she was about 7-8 years old there. She is roughly 10-12 now.

this is a cute picture.
now i have a visual when i pray for her.

i love animals and i love people who love animals.
so i would be praying for Cheyenne and you even if we weren't friends.
Kukon: ~~ *points to the thread title*
i hope this brings you and Cheyenne lots more prayers for her continued recovery!

Jeanie: ~~ would you please post a picture of your little ebil one and tell us his name?
thank you so much if you can and feel free to add any stories of your war wounds if you want.

He is he was done as soon as he was old enough. It made no difference. He wants me to cuddle him when we're at the vets though. ¬_¬ They don't believe he savages me at home.
