Try not to just list the bands you've seen perform live. Elaborate!
Tell us were they amazing or were they kind of lame without all the studio effects?
Ever been to a show were the opening act was better than the headliner?
Tell me stories.
I want to know about the crazy people in the crowd around you!
I want to know if you've ever bought tickets off a scalper.
If you got pulled over on your way to the show.
If you have never, ever not once been to a "real" concert - tell us why.
Were you not allowed to go or does no one worth seeing ever perform in your area?

I think the most amazing concert
I went to was Markey Ramone at this
really run down bar downtown.
I'm a huge ramones fan! At my old
school, my nickname was Ramone. xD
Mostly, because I would wear their
shirts all the time and blast my music from
my headphones.
But yeah, I wanted to cry from happiness. xD
I was 13, so..it was like a dream come true.
I got his autograph too and a picture with him.
:B

I saw Les Paul play when he was 90 or 91. Up to 2 weeks before he died, he used to play at The Iridium in Manhattan every Monday. I even got to meet the legend! Even at that age, he still had that rock star attitude.
This year at the Clearwater Festival, I saw Jorma Kaukonen (a huge influence on me), John Sebastian, Peter Yarrow, Tom Chapin, and of course Pete Seeger. They were all still amazing. Jorma played a few songs off of the new Hot Tuna album. Yarrow played Peter, Paul & Mary songs and after that show, I went to the Jam Tent where he and his daughter eventually showed up to play a tribute to Mary. I got to meet them both then. John Sebastian played a few blues and folk songs, a lullaby he wrote for his child, and The "Welcome Back Cotter" theme song that he wrote. I saw Tom Chapin at the "Generations" portion of the show and he played with his neice since his daughters were playing a show in Amsterdam.
I saw Children of Bodom and Black Dahlia Murder at one show. My friend invited me and I had no clue who they were until I went to the show. We created one huge mosh pit during the Black Dahlia Murder set.
I saw Timber Timbre at Joe's Pub in Manhattan. I sat right in front of Taylor and Simon. It was an amazing show, I definitely recommend listening to them or seeing them if they are in your area.
I saw The Allman Brothers Band. It goes without saying that the how was amazing. They almost always are (the exception being when they have technical difficulties).
I saw the Experience Hendrix Tribute Tour with Joe Satriani, Jonny Lang, Living Colour, Kenny Wayne Shephard, Ernie Isely, of course Billy Cox, and several others. It was a great show. Living Colour was the best at play Hendrix Songs and Corey and Doug wandered throughout the whole theater.
I saw B. B. King in the same theater. His singing was a bit off since he was a bit sick and he did more talking than playing (his band did most of the work). It was a bit disappointing, but when he did play, it was great. The drummer mimicked what B.B. played during one song and Mr. King kept threatening him, saying, "I'm from Mississippi, I'll cut you," and other such threats. :XD
I saw Gorillaz at Madison Square Garden for the Plastic Beach tour. My brother was there with some of his friends but in a different section and one of them wouldn't believe that my dad was there (since he took me). Their set was great. NERD was the opener for that show and they weren't very good. Everything was muffled and just a mesh of loud noise.
I also go to the Newport Jazz Festival every year. There are always great acts and the main stage is never a let down. I tend to just roam around and listen to random people. The only person I remember seeing is Jamie Cullum, the guy who wrote "Gran Torino" for the movie.

GWAR - Seen them five times, definitely one of the best bands to see live. Fake blood and guts, monsters and mayhem <3 Also, they're really cool guys to hang with.
High on Fire - Saw them open up for GWAR. Pretty good, their song Turk kills it every time.
Converge - Sucked, don't do it.
Priestess - Not bad, Lay Down is a lot of fun live.
Mastodon - AMAZING <3 Saw them with Dethklok for my birthday a few years back. FUCK YEAH!
The Red Chord - Better live than on cd, I'm not a huge fan but their singer wore a Batman mask the entire show lmao
Job for a Cowboy - Better on cd than live, not very impressed
Dethklok - Incredible, duh <3 Saw them with Mastodon
Cattle Decapitation - Absolutely horrid
Mobile Deathcamp - Seen them twice and I love them to death. Todd (singer) and Boe (bassist) are two of the sweetest men I have ever met. Also, Todd gives the best hugs in the universe. Get one if you ever see them!
Dirge Within - Loved them live and on record. Jerms (singer) is a really cool guy, we ran into him a few times. Also really cute.
RAWG - This is GWAR without their costumes on haha. Even then they put on a great show. Love my boys <3
Little Ozzy - Okay this is a little person who impersonates Ozzy and is actually REALLY good at it. He's a cool guy to hang with too. Love him.
Mensrea - Side project including GWAR's lead guitarist. Not bad.
Construkt - Good live
Cannabis Corpse - I was really drunk at this point so I only remember them having a hot guitarist
Sevendust - Um I cried. The end <3
Anew Revolution - Seen them twice, awesome show!
10 Years - I had been told they were really good and I wasn't all that impressed.
Ill Nino - This is my favorite band and holy shit can they put on a show! Dreads and sweat in my face, my hand being held, being sung and played to, being given two guitar picks, then hanging out on the tour bus and having a beer, FUCK YES! Also, I cried like a bitch when they played my favorite song. I highly recommend seeing them <3
Ekotren - Better than I thought they would be, good show
Fashion Bomb - Better live than on record and actually a lot of fun. I kind of have a crush on the drummer. We're now facebook friends :)

The best show I've been too so far has been Cannibal Corpse.
I had never been to a really "heavy" show like that and talk about getting thrown into the deep end!
Sink or swim. My husband staked out a spot for us right in front of the stage AKA front and center in the mosh pit.
I'd been in a pit before or so I though but this - this was.. an ocean of moshers.
It was awesome.
I got some pretty great pictures of the show considering all the chaos.
The night would have been plenty epic if that had been it BUT we met the band after the show.
The tour bus was parked in an accessible location.. so a few of us hung round after
and when they came out they were more than happy to hang out and chill with us. Incredibly nice guys.

Haha! I know what you mean.
I got kicked a few time at the Cannibal Corpse show.
Damn crowd surfers! *shakes fist*
Nah. It was awesome.
You get the strangest looks from people when you say - I got kicked in the head at that show. It was awesome.

I've only gone to concerts that one of my mom's friends gets tickets for/wins. So~ they weren't "wild" or anything. But I've seen Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban... Those are all I remember. XD And it's been a few years now, so I don't really remember what went on in them either. I know that Big & Rich had a midget come on stage for something and Tim McGraw sang a bunch of sappy songs that my mom hated. Oh, come to think of it, one of my friends invited me to see some artist once. I don't remember who he was though. Yeeep, I have a great memory. 8D But one of the places we went to was absolutely beautiful. The ceiling looked like a starry sky~
Also, I remember my mom telling me how a drummer gave her the drumsticks after a show.
