"so have you seen him before or do you just know where he lives" she said.

"Ah, I met him when we were younger. He's older than the both of us. He's sweet, the last time I remember." Lyra thought about it for a while. People change over the years, but it was worth a shot. When they made it to Jason's house, Lyra sighed. She knocked on the door, waiting for someone to answer. To their luck, it was Jason who answered. "J-Jace?" she asked, using her pet name for him.

When Jason opened the door, he was astounded to see Lyra and Angela at the door. He had heard about their parent's deaths and thought that they were caught in the cross-fire. "Lyra! Angie!" he yelled, hugging the eldest in a tight embrace. "I thought that... you guys were the same as your parents. Oh, man, Angie, you've grown!" He moved to the youngest sister now, ruffling her hair playfully. "Come in, come in!"

Angela smiled. "your right hes nice" she said walking in.

Jason laughed heartily. "I s'pose I am. What can I do for you lovely ladies?" he asked, guiding them to the living room. he plopped down on the couch and crossed his legs.

Lyra followed the boy and sat next to him, wriggling nervously. "Jace. Do you... know about this? Angela show him." Lyra held out her hand and summoned the fireball again, holding it in front of the boy's face.

Angela summoned a ball of water and took the rose out of her hair, which had started to wilt, and as soon as she touched it it healed and was bright red again.

Jason stared at the sisters. "I knew this would happen at some point..." he murmured. Reaching out, he took Lyra's hand and took the fire away from her, playing with it. "Just like you, I can control fire. And just like Angela, I can control water." He sighed.

Lyra looked at him in shock. "You know about this!? So, you must know about uncle!"

"yeah. we went to his house and he planned to take our powers" Angela said.

Lyra was nearly fuming. "How dare he!? I bet he planned to kill our parents! Now, he wants us! Like hell I'm going to do nothing....!" She was writhing in her seat vigorously.

"Calm down! It's okay, Lyra, shush," Jason cooed, wrapping his arms around the girl's shoulders. "I know you want to protect your sister and yourself, but for now, I think we have to work on your powers first." Standing up with Lyra still at his side, he said, "I have an extra room for you both, okay? You'll stay here until we can get back at Uncle."

"sounds like a plan" angela said.

Sighing, Lyra regained her composure. "So... Later today, we'll practice, hm?" she asked Jason. Her trust for him was building.

"Yep. Sounds good to you, Angie?"

"sure. i would love to practice on my earth power. now i know why i like nature so much" she smiled.
