Robert sighed, but agreed to a bath. It dis feel good. He had already started heating more water on the stove so he could soak a bit longer. He wanted to have Madiline get in too. He would have to wait for her to come back from getting food first.

The tray was heavy but somehow she managed to balance it and open the door to their room at the same time, Robert was still in the tub when she came in, giving him a small smile she set the tray down on the table, the bowls of stew she set near the fire to keep them warm. “I figured you would be finished by now so I could take a bath but since you’re so slow I’ll just join you” locking the door she shed her dress and undergarments and got into the tub with him. It was a little cramped but the tub was large and they both fit into it with relative ease. “Scoot over you tub hog” she said with a laugh nudging him in the ribs, the water was blessedly warm but it was hard to relax with Robert so close.

Robert smiled lazily and moved over a bit so she at least had a small bit of space away from him. It was so warm and he felt like he might take a nap it he shut his eyes. He wrapped one arm around her shoulders and kissed her cheek. "I love you." he cooed. He really meant it too. She was the best thing to ever happen to him and he would love her forever.

“I love you too Robert” she said softly but she had a feeling he had already fallen asleep, at least that’s what his deep even breathing told her, he must be worn out. Not that she could blame him their day had been so very eventful, Madeline herself was exhausted but she wanted to wash up, eat a little and get the great ox who had fallen asleep in the tub in bed. Chuckling softly to herself she washed her body savoring the warmth of the water, and the man who sat close by. It was amazing just how much her life had changed in a few days. From him finding out she was a female to them having to flee because the innkeeper of the last place they stayed in had alerted the navy to Robert. Looking up at him she leaned up and kissed his neck tracing one finger along the scar that crossed his muscled chest. He looked so peaceful asleep she almost didn’t want to wake him, but the water was growing cold and she didn’t want him to get sick. Getting out she got dressed before trying to wake him. “Robert” she cooed kissing him lightly “wake up and get into bed, you’ll catch your death in that tub”

"I don't wanna get up.." he moaned sleepily. He didn't bother to open his eyes at all. He just fell back to sleep, but woke right back up as the water chilled. He stood and got out, drying off with a towel. He dressed and laod in the bed. He fell in a sleep that was nice and soothing. He snored ever so slightly as he slept.

“Ox” Madeline mumbled under her breath, the tub was too big for her to move on her own so she left it there if he woke in the night and stumbled over it well then he deserved it. Satisfied with a mental picture of Robert doing just that she sat down on a chair in front of the fire and ate her bowl of stew. She did have to say one thing about the innkeeper, that woman made some fine stew, finishing up her bowl she left it near Robert’s still full one.
The big man was taking up most of the bed and no amount of shaking would wake him, so in the end she pushed him over as far as she could and squeezed in beside him. Though overall it was rather comfortable and soon enough she was asleep.

Robert woke up in the middle of the night really hungry and poked the fire so it came back up and burned steadily. He reheated his stew over it and ate it carefully. It was really good and once he was no longer hungry, he crawled back in the bed and looked at his love. Madiline was so cute when she was asleep. He feel back asleep and had sweet dreams until he heard a knock on the door.

Madeline curled into a tighter ball, the knocking sound was breaking into dreams to lovely to wake from. But the knocking only grew louder, she sat up stifling a yawn with her hand, her chemise had rode up around her thighs and she pushed it down, she wasn’t about to open the door in nothing more than her undergarments. Robert was sitting up he looked grumpy that he had to be woken up in such a rude manner, Madeline tugged on her dress, she didn’t take the time she lace it up before pulling the door open.

Robert suddenly was fully awake and slung her on the bed. He grabbed a gun and looked to see who was at the door. It was only the innkeeper and he sighed with relif. The keeper took the empty bowls and smiled. She was soon gone. Robert looked at Madiline. "I'm so sorry if I hurt you. I didn't know if it was safe to awnser." he kissed her forehead.

Being lighter then he thought she was she went flying just a tad too far when he slung her on the bed, her elbow smacked hard against the wall, she had thrown out her arm to stop her head from hitting the wall and ended up with an elbow that brought a small whimper of pain to her lips. “It’s okay but Robert it was just the innkeeper not a bomb or an assassin” Madeline sat up rubbing her elbow where a large ugly bruise was already forming. “Next time not so hard please, I’m lighter then I look” she pointed out

Robert looked a bit upset." o really am sorry. I didn't mean to." je kept apologizing feeling really bad that he had hurt her. He kissed her elbow gently.

Madeline pulled her elbow away from his gentle kiss “it’s okay really don’t worry about Robert, I’m hungry I’m going to go down and get something to eat” without really waiting for an answer from him she left the room, as she walked down the stairs she laced up her dress, because she wasn’t watching where she was going she bumped right into a hard broad chest. “Watch it there little lady you could have taken a tumble down the stairs” large hands braced her and she looked up into the face of the man she recognized from the bar the one who wore the naval uniform. “Er uh yes thank you I’ll be sure to do that” she mumbled back stepping so he took his hands off her.

Robert had seen the man and had both of their belongings packed up in seconds. He hid in the room and waited to see what the man was up to. He was a good bit nervous that he might know something.

Madeline took another step back as he took a step forward making her back up, he recognized her, or the man she was with she just knew it. She could see it on his face “I’m sorry I bumped into you” she squeaked very uncomfortable now. “It’s alright lass, how about I escort you up to your room make sure you don’t get hurt” his smile was dark as if he knew something she didn’t. Taking her by the arm he all but pulled her back up the stairs towards her room despite her feeble protests. Oh gods! He was after Robert what would they do, what if he had alerted others?

Robert had a gun and was ready to fire instantly. He heard footsteps nearing the room. He was hiding so that he could shot the person, but they couldn't even see him. He saw the naval officer enter the room with Madiline. Was je out to hurt her? It seemed as if he thought she was just a confused lass. He would be wrong about that.

The way the pair were situated when walking into the room Madeline was in front of the officer as a sort of shield keeping her between him and Robert ”come on out dear sir I would like to have a word with you. T’would be a shame if this lass got hurt cus’ you didn’t want to talk” Madeline froze at his words, his grip tightened on her arm preventing her from running as her hammering heart urged her to do. This man knew who Robert was and now she was just bait in a trap to lure him out. ”I’m sure I don’t know what you mean sir” she snapped trying uselessly to tug her arm out of his grip, his grip tightened to a bruising point, man by the end of today she had a feeling she would be black and blue. ”But I think you do know what I mean darling girl, and I’m pretty sure your big strong pirate man would not like to see you hurt”

Robert looked smug as he stood up, gun pointed to the naval officer. "And what, good sir, should we discuss. I can assure you that until you let her go I will not be doing anything you ask of me. In fact, I'll probably kill you if you hurt her. She's not involved in this, just a lass I found a wandering by herself on the streets. I took a liking to her you see. She hasn't an idea who I am or what I've done." he tried to talk like a captian would, not like a scared young man.

Madeline opened her mouth to say something but stopped at a look Robert flashed at her, again she tried fruitlessly to tug her arm out of the man’s grip but in the end only made him chuckle as he only pulled her closer as a sort of shield between him and Robert. “I don’t think I’ll let the lass go, she’s the only reason you aren’t shooting me where I stand” he made no move to let her go. “So let’s see how this will work, how about you turn yourself in and I will let her go. Does that sound like a deal?”

Robert shot the man in the foot. The only part of im not covered by Madilne. He jerked her out of his grasp and held her to him. He grabbed their stuff and ran with her hand in his. He got to the dock and boarded the ship. This was a matter of life or death.

What happened next happened so fast she could barely wrap her mind around it as they were casting off from the dock. The naval officer roared in pain as the two people shot past him shoving him roughly out of the way. Madeline couldn’t catch her breath until they were on the boat sailing away from the dock. The naval officer limped downstairs but by the time him and the rest of the officers got to the dock there was no ship in sight, the wind had been on their side and taken them out of port quickly.
Madeline sunk down onto her seat rubbing her arm “I’m so sorry Robert… it’s my fault that happened”

He shook his head. "All of this is my fault. I brought this apoun us with my bad deeds. He hugged her gently and smiled. He lobed her so much. "Don't worry, I'll find a place where no one knows who we are and then we can be happy together. You just wait little Missy. I gonna make you the happiest lass in the whole damn world or die trying."

Madeline smiled but inside she was skeptical with Robert having once been a pirate there was always a chance of someone coming after them that was unless they could go to a place where no one knew him. She watched him steer the boat a tender look on her face she was sure he couldn’t see. She loved him and would do anything she had to, to stay with him. Getting up she checked behind them and was relieved to see no ship after them. “Robert where are we going?”

Robert smiled. "India my dear. They'll never expect us to go there. It's not even known to a lot of English." he smirked at the navy's stupidity.

"Sounds so far away from everything I've ever know... long as I'm with you though I know things will be okay" getting to her feet she made her way over to him just wanting to be near him for now. "Well we might get to start a whole new life there, might be a nice place to raise children"

"Yep, and we have enough money to live in the really nice part of the country." he thought of having kids. It was a nice thought. He loved her so much. He held her with one arm. It was smooth sailing. He thought the water was pretty. It looked like tinted glass. The wind gently blew them on the right direction.
