They were talking about how different the museums in Egypt are compared to the US (well in NYC at least I suppose). They said in Egypt no one cared if you touched stuff or whatever, but in the US it's a big no-no. 
Pretty interesting, the small differences in places.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you haven't met the majority of Americans so you can't really say that with truth. Through your own observation and experiences, sure, but that hardly accounts for the majority of Americans.

Haha. We're not allowed to touch stuff here in museums either, because the people here are all secretly forces of destruction. Leave something in the hands of the public for a day and you'll come back to see the thing chipped or bent or dented or whatever.

Tigers are nearly extinct and the ones we see are usually in a cage, so cats are safe from them as long as they don't wander into a tiger cage or something.
