hey everyone look what I did recently...

Why do you draw that ona lined paper?

um well my notebook that I was going to write my story in, the front of it is holographic and I wanted to use that for my story. So I just started drawing, I do better drawing on lined paper honestly, probably why I always doodled in class XD

It is a square (like a door or border) in the middle is a keyhole, with a heart inside it, keys on the outside (the heart has its own keyhole with a chain on the top part of the heart as if to chain it down) and the ribbon, the outside corners of the boxes are flowers, roses.

What is a holographic?

ooo... that is very intricate details.
If it is for a story, every element have a meaning, right? I mean, a kind of function or metaphore...?

actually there is a meaning behind each piece of the drawing, do you want me to tell you? I'm cool with it.

Also...uh...let me find it online...

I like your drawing the lines are really crisp and there's a good balance on the page :D But yes please do tell about the symbolism! I'd like to hear as well ^^

the program is GIMP x) And I did use lines but I like to pick colours close to skin (the pink-ish lines) so I don't REALLY have to do lineart (which I'm way to lazy to do) xD

You can call me anything from the variation of Meave Xuvrette.

I make it. XD from the basis of, I like the ette spelling and sound, and have attachmment to alphabets q, v, w, x, y, z. XD So figure to add in as much rare alphabets as possible. XD End up with Xuvrette.
Some people call me ette or rette, which is kind of cute. I didn't think of nickname variation like that when I make it.
You have ette in your name too. XD

You use pink lines? O__O But the background doesn't seem to have pink?

woot to the ettes ! Whenever I see 'Xu' I automatically connect it with Chinese! There's a lot of people at my school with the last name "Xu" :P

Also, I drew the background and foreground separately that's why x) hehe

I am a Chinese though. But of a lot of Chinese I know, their spelling is rarely xu.

Xu? The only surname I can think of that might sound like Xu is 蘇...

苏 su
徐許 xu, the spelling mostly follow dialect. Like Chew or some other pronuciation dialect that I don't know. DX

lol well it really seems like that isn't the best picture, the one on my notebook if you move the comic it kinda moves :P

As far as everyone liking my artwork, thank you, I love designing new things.

Now as far as that picture...



-The key on the right will be gold - Stands for Human Means. (Non-magical pretty much)
-The Key on the left will be silver - Stands for Magical Means.
-The flowers (roses behind the corners) symbolize beauty and nature.
-The outside border (the rectangle on top of the flowers) Symbolize a book, like you are looking at a book inside a book. That is to tell the story of the character telling her story.
-The Ribbon will be red (as well as the roses) and it will be there to symbolize, tied onto life, like you can't get away until the ribbon is undone.
-The huge first lock represents what is locked inside the book (Pretty much the story the character will chose to tell and only she can tell it, since it's hers to tell)
-The heart inside the lock in her own heart, closed up, locked away, forgotten to love or just ran away from it. Not just love to love guys, but, to love anyone. It will be red and gold meaning how pure and fragile it is. Yet also how strong it can be.
-The chain holding the heart is to make sure it's never taken away, the chain also represents the strength of it's protection.
-The lock on the heart, the keyhole represents things are hidden, not necessarily love, but, more of things that make them into the way they are and where their heart really lies. Like their dreams, hopes, expectations they really expect, the true them that hardly anyone gets to see.

Thank you, the girl who is the main character of the story will be based off of me and my would be life. Lol. If you want to hear the short summary for it, ask, I'm cool with it. I just used that picture to make a freebie shop in the freebie section. Not for avatars, but, for like the picture above if you want to check it out :P

I think the ruled lines really takes away beauty of the design.

well I probably could recreate something else on regular paper later, but, like I said it's for my story. So if I decide to get it published at all later on down the road, I probably would redraw it :P

my freebie art shop wouldn't have lined paper though.

I think for that designs... it could have some cool effect with collages.
