I love using pastels [colours], though.
It gives a soft look to it. If only everybody didn't like to use them as well!

We are in the different world.

With some manga/anime artists.
It all depends on who you end up following on dA.
Then you find out that they have a TON of watchers, and that those watchers will attempt to break your neck if they find out your style of anything is similar.
Stupid hordes.

Urgh yeah those people are scary.

I think there are people like that in generally any fandom ever, whether it for a TV show or artist and it's like dude/ttes calm down.

I'm not sure if its worse on Tumblr or on dA.
I generally only stick to the RP side of dA.

I only see funny pieces of Tumblr. Sounds like a cracked up place.

That's the parts I try to stay around 8D (and the art blogs)

You have a lot of social justice blogging though, and a lot of fandom wars and wars in general its pretty ridiculous and vicious sometimes. And if you're unlucky you can wind up getting a lot of hate.
