I'm super inexperienced with makeup. I've watched some tutorials and have a lot of makeup, but I'm just no good at it so I don't usually wear it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are quite a few sanitary tools like... tooth brush and bath sponge claims to incorporate charcoal in their making.
Didn't you notice a new black color toothbrush appear in the market?

Yeah, it's all carbon anyway, like they use in any black-pigmented cosmetics.
We're made of carbon, so it might be okay to touch it, lol.
Probably a thousand times safer than a single hair coloring. THAT stuff is like reacting chemicals on your head, lol.

@ Meave - o___o No. Wouldn't the charcoal rub off on you or something?
@ Vera - o___o; I guess that's fair enough. I tried dying my hair once, but it was more fuss than it was worth. xD

By the way, I also heard from grandma telling me stories that in olden days, when toothpaste was not invented, they actually use charcoal powder to clean their teeth. O__O
and she said it cleans the teeth whiter!

I've heard it too. There was even something (haven't seen it around lately) when I was small which looked like charcoal sold in packets. You dab the tooth brush in the powder and brush your teeth. It was very uncomfortable, gritty and all I didn't use it much, but people claim that it makes your teeth whiter as well.

I don't know, they didn't conduct researches or anything.. id rather use a toothpaste even if it didn't make your teeth whiter or anything but I don't think it made much of a different, though I mean, charcoal is good for washing old pans and stuff, but your teeth...

It's not a new phenomenon. It's activated charcoal, and a lot of girls who first discover it will rave about the uses. You can purchase it in pills, or as a powder; most often I've seen it used on your face like a mask. It would only whiten your teeth the same way baking soda would because of it's light abrasion to the enamel--revealing new enamel makes your teeth appear whiter, but you have to be careful not to do it all the time.

I believe that it's generally a gel. Similar to what you buy in a store, but it's much stronger because they're a) professionals, and b) the process is closely monitored in an office setting. You're paying more for a drastic change, so you're going to see a difference and a definite whitening when you leave the office. They will fix up your teeth, find any holes and cavities to fill, then they'll use a gel to protect your gums and enamel, then apply more gel to your teeth. It's popular now to use light to speed up the process, or heat.
So what you can do at home, with those whitening strips, it's the same thing, but it's over a longer period of time.

Aw, I'm really sorry to hear that. I know that some colleges, at least the one around here, offer dental work for a cheaper price. There's a great dental school attached to the college, and if you can spare the few hours it takes them to do something, you save a bundle! And with the useless healthcare they're demanding we buy from the college as a student, it's the only service that's worth anything.
Maybe take a nice vacation somewhere exotic? I hear Thailand and Mexico are great with cosmetic surgeries, and dental work.

Ah, I've heard that some colleges offer cheaper dental work because their dental students need practice. Its def something I should look into.
:c I can't afford a vacation either. Money pls.
