Nothing overly special for the 4th for me. I just did a mani with Starrily's Heart of the Ocean. I've debated adding stars to it or something else but I'm in more of a lazy mood and I just like the color on its own.

Oh wow, that blue is super pretty! I bought some nail stickers this weekend so maybe I'll do a mani with those sometime soon...

It's not a big percentage off, but if anyone is interested, there's a sale for this weekend on Live Love Polish. You get 10% off when you use the code laborday10.
A lot of new colors have been released for fall. I want so many of them. Plus, a good portion of the autumn colors seem to be more work appropriate. Most are muted or fall into the reds/nudes/and browns which seem to never be frowned upon.

Ooh, I wish I had money to spare, there's one color that I really like. Maybe I can get something for my birthday in a few months...

I was thinking about painting my nails baby blue this weekend.

It didn't work out so well. A bunch of the nails got messed up shortly after doing it. V_V

I've been into these floral nail wraps lately. The photos are grabbed from Google, but the results have been identical and I really like how long they've lasted compared to most of the nail polish brands I've used. Here are a few that I like:

Those wraps are gorgeous! I think wraps aren't for me though. Ever since being introduced to peel off base coats, I've had nail polish ADD. On average, I change my polish 3 times a week. I've always liked the look of wraps though.

I love the patterns you can get with wraps but I hate the process of putting them on. XD

I've never actually tried. I knew a jamberry consultant once but the actual selling experience didn't go over well. She was really pushy. The experience felt similar to a car buying experience. In the end I wanted to buy because it was my friend's party but I didn't. I think because I do the math in my head and think, "one sheet for $15 verses one 15mL bottle filled with sparkles and/or rainbows for $13." The sparkles win, every single time. I don't think I could stand to wear a design for that long either. The longevity of the wraps was the biggest selling point and I could really see that being amazing for lots of people. I might buy some wraps someday. I do like the designs, and I know I'll never have time to do my own nail art.

I think my problem this time was that I put on too many coats of sparkles.

Good morning thread.
I tend to mess mine up because I'm impatient & don't wait long enough between the coats.

I tend to think it is dry and then realize too late when it isn't. >.<

I've always kind of wanted a gel system because of that issue. You KNOW it's dry after it's cured. That's mst of my problem is ruining it before it even dries.

I did gel once at a salon and it's awesome how long it lasts but the way it starts to peel off when it's lost it's strength and how hard it is to get off drove me crazy. @[email protected]

The removal part does scare me. I've only ever had gel polish once at my wedding. It actually hurt while the lady was removing it. She was really aggressive with that file.

I have tried the miracle gel polished from sally Hansen. they do seem to last longer than normal polish and the top coat is very glossy. I just don't like how the top coat levels. You need to be sure you smooth out the top coat before it dries because it is not forgiving in the self leveling department.

That's also what I don't like in metallic or multichrome polishes. you see every bump and sometimes brushstroke.

Ah yeah, I totally hate when polishes show the brush strokes. It drives me crazy!

I actually find I like polishes that are purposely textured because you notice any imperfections so much less.

I had two large orders of polishes possibly stollen. I'm hoping that it's just lot in the mail but I'm pretty sure it's not.

Yikes! Time to contact the shipper?

I painted my nails again last night. Hot pink with gold accent stickers. ^_^

I contacted the merchant. I'm not sure what, if anything, they can do. :( And I'm not sure who to cantact as far as mail carriers either since all packages started off fedex and ended up with USPS. The tracker says that they were delivered "In/At Mailbox" but it's just not possible. We have a standard mailbox that couldn't have fit parcels that large and even if they did shove them in there, I'd think it was their fault because it couldn't have closed and it would have been like "OOOOOO here, take me, I'm easy" verses if the packages were left at the door where they can be difficult to see.

I'm still upset. Not over the polishes or even the money, it was a large order and quite a bit of money. Its just feeling let down by my community and disappointed in humanity. That's what makes it feel worse.

Anywho.. that sounds like a lovely and classy combo. I'd love to see it!

I never do any designs with mine. Just straight polishes.

I've had some packages stolen, it's really frustrating. :/ I never understand why people do that. Like they have no idea what they're gonna get when they open it. Like it could be something really expensive of course but it could also be something really useless. Just why?

Unfortunately it seems like the gold is wearing off of some of the stickers and the polish is wearing pretty bad already. ^^; Maybe that will just have to be an excuse to repaint them again this weekend if I have time. XD
