Oh, that's cool! How much is the shipping?
Oh wow! He's moving up in the world! At least it's something to get by with until he can find a more permanent position...
I'm going to be paying the rent by myself for a while. He's got a bit of freelance work he can do but it won't bring in much. Still, it'll help pay the other things like cell phone bills, internet, etc. We're just not in a really good place because he owes a lot of money from back taxes before mid December which we're not going to have the money for. He's going to have to call the IRS and see if he can set up some sort of repayment program. He's also deferred his student loans so I'm afraid that will be a problem later on as well. *Sigh* I guess I need to not really think of the long term picture at this point, we need to worry about getting out of where we are for the time being.
I'm out of the house for like 12 hours away so unfortunately I wouldn't really be able to do it and I'm not sure my fiance would go for something like that... I'll keep it in mind though in case we start to get really desperate. Thanks anyway!

Not a problem! I figured it may be a possible way to get you through the patch you're in. If you've got high-speed internet and a house phone, and half a brain you should be able to make it work. I'm here if you want more info on it at a later time. I'm stressed and not enjoying it, but I'm slowly learning how to be successful and turning it around. I know there's other programs that could be less stressful that you may find it worthwhile. *shrugs* I prefer it as I have a horrible phobia of driving and with it I no longer need to have to drive to bring in an income. It works for me on that level.
And the boxes are $10 total with tax and shipping. :3

Yeah, it's true that they have some sheer polishes, but I don't mind that, so I like them. Some of them are sheer at first, but if you do three coats, they become pretty opaque. I hope you get a color that you like!

Ooh, that one's really pretty. I have a polish by OPI called Rally Pretty Pink that's supposed to be basically identical, and it's super sparkly and pretty.

I have cut my nails short and it makes my fingers look all short and stubby!
Luckily they tend to grow back out very fast.
It just gets tough typing with long nails.

@ Izumi: Not having to commute is great. I've never had the chance to do that but my fiance has always worked from home. It'll be weird for him if he gets a desk job where he has to commute.
@ Silence: Oooh, those do look really similar!
@ Vanora: My nails were growing super fast this summer! It seemed like I had to cut them like every other week. >.<

I hope it will actually. ^^; I get annoyed cutting my nails so often because I'm such a perfectionist and it takes me forever to file them back perfectly each time. >.>

It doesn't take me that long to do mine.
Then again my fingers are shaped weird so doing them perfectly is pointless either way.

I can't wait to find out what color it is. I'll definitely have to share!
@Zig - not having to commute definitely has it's perks. You should of seen the righteous bed head I had going on this morning, and I woke up late so I didn't have time to tame it. It gave Ace Ventura a run for his money...lol. That and I can wear pjs and slippers, light my candle at my desk...The only thing I kind of wish I could get away with is playing some background music. The only thing is it could be a big no no if the other person could hear. :/ It would be work appropriate as it's elevator/waiting room type music...but it's soothing. There's a no noise tolerance though, as they can't know we're working from home.

Any matte nail polish I end up finding at stores is nothing but crap. It chips off easily and takes the bottom layer of nail polish with it. It just really frustrates me. I'm too lazy to get anything online and I'd hate to spend over $8 at a pro beauty story like the Sephora I have in my JC Pennies (or is it Dillards I forget).
I'm such a plain jane girl with my nail polish. I'll get anything Sally Hanson, China Glaze if I'm feeling pro, and Sinful Colors. If I'm lucky, my sister will let me use her really good O.P.I. nail polish colors.

@ Izumi: I forgot to say that I didn't realize that the shipping costs were included in the $10.
Yes please do tell!
I would so love that. Curl up with my PJs, light a candle, chill with my cat... Yeah. No music wouldn't bother me terribly, I like it but it's not always necessary for me.
@ Zimmerdale: I used to live off of Sally Hanson. It's not a bad brand! I'm not huge on China Glaze, I've never been impressed with their polishes as they seem to chip very easily. I've got a few Sinful Colors. It's not bad at all for the price! O.P.I. is the one brand that I don't have...

Sally Hanson seems to be pretty decent all in all. I've found a couple things that may not of been stellar, but they've got a good record with me.
I'm curious about trying something china glaze or sinful colors. Sinful Colors is like a drugstore brand I think, right? I'm sure I saw them at meijer. I haven't done any price comparison on those two.
One brand I would love to try is Essie. I had a $2 off coupon and almost pulled the trigger, but even with that it took a normally $8 bottle down to $6. I took a look at the bottle they come in and they're so tiny. I specifically looked to see if they had the clear matte polish at Meijers in Essie, but they only had a small selection. If I could find something like the matte, that I couldn't find in another brand at a lower price I would of gone for it. Yes, I'm a cheapskate.
I've got a couple OPI but they have either been discounted or they had a formula that at the time I couldn't get anywhere else. They brought out the crackle polish first and for awhile the only brand I could find doing it, so of course I caved in.
---------- Post added 10-07-2013 at 08:55 PM ----------
Also, like I said before, I have Avon but wouldn't say go out and buy it as you can typically find the same colors and similar formulas easier/cheaper. They aren't bad but not good enough for you to go out of your way to get them.
Color club seems to be decent as well, and I've probably have about 6 of their polishes. So far they've been decent formulas. I wouldn't pay more than what you would get from Sally's though.
Something I haven't tried in years is wet n wild's polishes. I use to have a few when I was a teen, because they were super cheap. They weren't too bad, especially for price. I'm trying to think of other brands I would love to get my hands on. Zoya is one, but I will get to try it soon. Oh Nailtini has me curious, but since I haven't seen it sold locally and it has been done in ipsy a few times I'm hoping to get lucky and get a bottle one of these months to try.

Sinful Colors are only $2 each. I've seen them in various drug stores.
Essie bottles don't really seem small to me... But then again they don't seem to be worth the price.
I've never had any Avon polishes and I've never heard of Color Club before you started mentioning it. I think I used to be in love with Wet n' Wild when I was younger as well though I don't have any bottles of it currently. Never heard of Nailtini though...
There's a nail polish brand called Piggy Paint or something like that that I've always thought sounded ridiculous but it seems to be quite popular. *Shrug* Has anyone tried that brand before?

Essie! That's a brand I rarely use. My sister and I practically share nail polishes anymore, unless their her O.P.I of course. I like how it stays on for a while, but it's so runny putting on!

That's true haha.
I don't care as long as they stick to my nails for longer than two days.
I tried the matte nail polishes from Avon and they don't last a day.
So never buying from then again.

Yeah, I have one cheap brand that chips off suuuper easily so that was basically trash but there are some very good cheap brands. Then again there are some crappy expensive brands too. ^^;

I've never had a fancy expensive car... My first car was my only car. I sold it when I moved to the city and I don't plan on getting another one until I move somewhere else and only then if there isn't good public transportation. Cars are a pain to keep up with. V_V

Me neither. My car is one of those repaired cars that have been previously crashed.
So it was quite cheap, but it works like a charm. Of course I take very good care of it, so that could be a factor. Lol.
We live out in the country-ish side of the city so no public transportation for us. Cars are a must for us. :c

That's the way it used to be for me when I lived with my mom. We lived in the country in the middle of nowhere so I had to drive like 30 minutes to get to work or anywhere else of interest. Now that I'm in the city though it's much easier to take the subway. Once and a while I miss driving but most of the time I don't.

We don't have subways, but we do have metro trains now.
The first couple of years that they were placed though, there were tons of accidents involving them.
People weren't used to sharing the roads with the trains and didn't understand the signs.

Oh yeah, that happened to my mom when we drove in Toronto. It was pretty scary!
I always worried about driving too though... Like we were in an area that was highly populated by deer. I was always afraid of getting into an accident because of it, especially when driving after dark. I did hit one once but it wasn't that bad fortunately.
