"I swear I'm a full human." Fiona said to her father. "You of all people should know that father." Her father rolled his eyes. "then why do you hang out with that half Dragon boy" he said to her. "He's my only friend." she said glaring at her father. "I don't know why you care so much..." she said to him.
He growled, "he's your only friend because of what he is." he said. "And what is that Father why do you have such a problem with him. He's a good guy, and if you can't except it I'm leaving." she said as she turned to the door. Her father didn't say a word. "Fine I'm gone." she said as she walked out the door and slammed it shut, she now was looking for the half dragon boy.

Jake was in Fiona's village as he was sneaking around, he knew if anyone detected him he would be beaten up or worse, he made sure his hood covered his face as he casualy walk along hoping his tail would remain hiden, and his wings were becoming itchy from the long cloak he was wearing "dam this blasted cloak... i hate it" he growled under his breath.
after a bit of searching finaly Jake had a bit of luck as he saw Fiona exiting her house, he casualy walked up to her, but then he look at her smiling "how are you Fiona? why is it everyone but you treat me like a monster? i mean... im not sure what i have done wrong..." he said feeling a bit down

Fiona saw Jake and ran to him with a smile. "I'm alright Jake, how are you?" she asked a bit worried about him when he asked about the people she replayed softly"it my stupid father. He afraid of what you are." she said softly looking up at the dragon boy. "I'm sorry Jake I don't know why his like this." she said softly She missed Jake when he was gone from the village, though he was still a new person to her village. "I'll keep you safe from the people though. My dad may be the leader, but my magic is already stronger then his." she said. Looking about the village every one stayed in there houses when Jake came around. "You cowards!" Fiona yelled out.

Jake smiled a bit as he hugged her close "im fine, im happy to be back... sort of" he said chuckling a little as he listened to her speak "why is he afraid? ive not done anything to harm anyone. Plus i only eat animals not humans" he said looking confused, he wasn't very bright at times, but thats mainly because he was only getting used to human life "its ok, its not your fault" he said hugging her again as he smiled more "and i will keep you all safe from any creature that may attack... mabey then they will trust me more" he said shrugging a little, when he heard Fiona shout out he looked around to see no one was around, he took his hood down and sighed "they are afraid of my animal side, because im half dragon it means im stronger then the normal human, its not their fault i guess"

Fiona looked down at the ground. "Its not fair, come stay with me." she said looking up at him and smiling. "My father can get over it." she said as she hugged him back. "Then maybe he can see that your one of us." Fiona looked to the main house that was in the village she chanted a few words as they got closer to the house. "You should be able to come in now, I made a spell so you could come in, and it should stay, like I said my power are stronger then my fathers." she said with a smile.

Jake looked at her with shock as he went wide eyed "but... but..." he was unsure what to say as he just stood wided eyed "but your father don..." he stopped as she hugged him "... well... i gues.... i guess its worth a shot" he looked at the main house gulping a bit remembering what happened last time when he went to knock on her door and got zapped by a strong eletrical current "a-are you sure... w-wont i be zapped?" he heard her comment about the power difference and smiled a bit "well... i guess i can't say no then"

Fiona smiled at Jake as they entered the house. "There's something I have to show you." she said as she walked back to her room. She had put a light spell on it so her father wouldn't be able to see her door, and so that he would also forget it was there. She looked to Jake as she entered the room. She brought out a black book. "I think you should see this, my father doesn't know about this book." she said softly as she came out of her room and walked over to Jake. When she was beside him she opened it up and turned to a page where a dragon boy stood. "Your the hero of this story." she said softly.

Jake looked to her a little confused as she walked to what he saw was a wall, but seeing a door suddenly appear made him step back a bit in a defencive possition, but when he saw Fiona walk into the room he stood up normaly and watched her while listening to what she had to say, when she came out of her room and showed him the black book he was a bit confused "a book? whats so special?" he asked, but when he saw the picture of a dragon boy, he looked a bit closer at it "wait... thats not me is it?"

"yes it it Jake." she said as she turned the page. "In a few days We'll need your help to fight the hoard of monster that are coming near here." she said pointing at the picture, "your the only one who can save us." she said softly looking up at him and softly blushing. "I've had this book for a while, I found it on my journey to the western land." she said softly as she closed the book, "the rest of the story will be written once we fight the battle." she said softly. She then walked back into her room. "Jake come on in." she said softly reviling a large room where she slept and practiced her spells.

Jake looked at the book and saw the picture of him fighting the monsters "b-but... ive never fought before" he said a little shocked as he looked at her "how am i supposed to kill monsters when im not a fighter... unless i let my dragon side free... but i dont know what will happen, what will happen if im to rely on my dragon side" he said looking more worried by the second, he stepped into her room looking around whimpering a little "what am i too do? doesn't the book tell you how i defeat them?"

"no Jake the book doesn't say anything about fighting them." she said as she grabbed some potions and other things, "I'll help you Jake, we can work on our fighting skills. I need to work on my protection magic." she said softly. "For you see Jake were the only two to know about the war that's about to happen." she said softly as she mixed a few potions. "Here take this." she said with a smile. "This should help you control the dragon side." she said with a smile. "Ive been working on it since we meet." she said.

Jake looked at her with a little less panic, he listened to his friend as he nodded every now and again, he also watched her make the potion, at first he was a little unsure, but he shrugged and chugged the drink down, he felt nothing "how will i know it has worked then?" he said a little scared that it hadn't worked, he looked at his hands and then back to Fiona "i dont feel any change..."

"You'll be able to tell when you call on the dragon, you should be able to fully control him." she said as she walked out of the room. "Are you hungry?" she asked him as she walked into the small kitchen area. "We have a little bit of veggies left." she said as she looked to Jake. Her family only ate veggies, because meet was unpure. she took a bite out of one of the stocks of carrots, then went back into her room. "I need to work one a few spell then we can start training if you would like." she said looking up at Jake.

Jake looked to her and felt unsure wether he ever wanted to call upon his dragon side "weeeell... i guess only time will tell" he said smiling a little, he followed her into the kitchen and his stumoch growled "well... i guess i could try some veggies" he said nibbling a carrot, he swallowed a bit he had been nibbling on and pulled a discusted face "... blech... it tastes like mud" he said putting it down on the side as he followed Fiona into her room

Fiona smiled at Jake as he made a face. "Your use to meat hu?" she asked. She then pulled out a small spell book. "Can you tell me if you see more of me in a min?" she asked Jake as she quoted some words in Latin. A few moments later three of her appeared in front of Jake. "did it work?" all of them said. She couldn't see the others for it was an illusion to anyone who would be looking at her.

Jake chuckled a bit as he then heard her comment "you bet i am, i have never tastes veg before... it is nasty" he said listening to her next comment and he was a bit confused a first, but when he saw three of Fiona he stepped back a bit, this wasn't the first time he had seen magic, but this sort of magic was new to him "which one is your" he asked looking at all three of them "and who are the others" he growled a little

"veggies are good you just have to find the ones you like." she said softly giggled. Fiona looked to Jake, "I'm the one in the middle." she said softly so the other two couldn't copy what she was saying. She then dismissed the other two. "there all me. That spell creates an illiution of there being more." Fiona looked up to Jake and gently touched his nose. She softly smiled. "It was my first time pulling that spell off." she said as she back away a little "it looks like your my lucky charm Jake." Fiona said looking towards the front door. "Jake stay here, I think I feel my dad's power." she said softly.

Jake chuckled again and shook his head "no way hosay, veggies tastes manky" he said and he looked to Fiona and smiled a bit nodding "oh i see" he said nodding as the other two dissapeared, he felt her touching his nose and he blushed a little as he listened to her "well... i could be... you are my lucky charm when it comes to controling my dragon side..." he smiled a little but then became a little worried "i need to leave then... he will slaughter me if he finds out im here" he said feeling a sudden wave of dread flow though his body

"He won't know you here, as long as you stay in this room." Fiona said as she hugged him. "I'll be right back. I promise." she said softly. "You can leave if you want, but your safer in my room then any were else." she said softly looking into his eyes. She softly kissed his cheek and walked out of the room.

Jake listened to her and nodded "ok then, i will remain in here" he said while letting out a little cloud of smoke showing he was getting nervous, he hugged her back and nodded "i guess i have no choice then... i will have to wait until he is gone" he said blushing very deeply causing his black scaled skin to turn a very bright red as he watched her leave the room

She smiled as she softly closed the door. She looked to her father who was just walking in the door. "How was your day father?" she asked him. He smiled and hugged her. "It was long child. The court won't do a thing about that Dragon boy, they don't see him for the threat he is." Fiona's father said. Fiona looked to the door, but then back at her father. "when will you learn that he's not a monster, he's more human then you will ever be." she said with a frown.

Jake was by the door listening to the two of them talking, when he heard her father talk about him he growled rather loudly as he went to the window and looked out to the trees and sky, his wings were out which was a clear sign he was not happy, he didn't understand why he was so hated by the villigers

Fiona could hear the growl, but her father couldn't. She glared at her father and walked away from him. She walked down the small hall to her room and walked in it. "He makes me so mad." she said softly. "Some times I think we should just let this village die." she said as she began to throw stuff around the room.
