I'm a member on Gaia and here and I saw an interesting thread there that made me wanna put it here. I was wondering where you all work? Most are probably in High school or in College but do you have a full-time or part-time job? and What is your dream job?

I work at Starbucks! I love working there! I love the pay, the tips every week, free coffee and discount, and the benefits are great! I'm a very out going and like to talk a lot, so it suits for me. The customers that come in are awesome, though we do get those rude ones where I just wanna throw their hot coffee all over their face. I'v e worked for Starbucks for 6 years and next month I'll be going on mt 7th. Before I worked there, I work at a vet place during high school.

I'm also a freelance photographer. Though working 36 hours a week plus some side jobs at Starbucks, my 2 year old son, taking care of my sister-in-law and her girlfriend (helping get on their feet, getting a GED and learning how to drive, and finding a job... and there a long story to this), and 2 roomies that I take care of (were homeless friends we are helping get back on their feet. One should be moving out soon!) doesn't leave enough room for my photography. But I manage, carrying my camera every where with me.

If and when my dream job ever comes I wouldn't mind owning my own dance studio. I love to dance and aside from my newly found passion in photography, I think it would be awesome to to have a place were kids and adults can come learn all kinds if dances and perform at all kinds of places as well.

Oh goodness, I've always had a bad experience when it came to helping people get back on their feet. ;c
I wish the best to you, and hope they don't even think about taking advantage of such kindness!
Ohh, what kind of dance do you do? I quite love dance too, have been more interested in choreographed
hip-hop for most Korean music.. They're really, really amazing at dancing. c:

Personally, my dream job is lawyer or a techie for evidence research labs or somethin' like that.. XDD
But I'm definitely going to always be an artist on the side! :)

I'm a high schooler, so there's no way for a full-time job for me. xD
Anyways, my dream job currently is to be a speech therapist for autistic kids. I know an owner of a private school just for autistic kids pretty well, so hopefully it'll work out well.
I was actually thinking of asking her if I could work there over next summer and do some chores for them or something.

Well I dohip-hop, slasa, and a little bit or Jazz, Tap, Belly dancing, and Pop and Lock. I've been dancing since I can remember. I use to live In cali and moved to Ohio in 2006. When I lived in Cali I use to go to a studio and perform places with them. I think is was a good way to keep me out of drugs and stuff. I'm thankful for the studio I went to.

I work as a sub in a day care, and do respite care for a family I know. I will be going back to school to get my associates in photography. My dream job would be to work as a photographer in a magazine.

I'm an English teacher in Japan. I guess you could say I'm currently in my dream job since I worked hard to get here, but it's not something I plan to do forever. Right now I'm still figuring out what the "next step" is going to be. I may end up going back to school or move to a different country.

I'm a stocker and (as of today) cashier at Target. Glamerous, I know, right? But I got my first paycheck yesterday, and I have to say... the bruises, the blisters, the bloody cuticles... all worth it.

My mom and older sister opened up their own business last October. I'm their receptionist/ cashier. It's an indoor dog-gym essentially. We're also partnered with the SPCA (animal rescue).

I'm also a freelance graphic designer. I designed my mom and sisters website, their posters. I also do graphic art on the side for friends of theirs.

My dream job? To be a theatre actress. I don't care if I'm just a background character/dancer so long as I get to be on that stage preforming plays or musicals. That would be my dream job.

It would be wonderfull to work with animals.
If I'd won alot of money, I'd start an animal shelter.
Sounds like a little girls dream... im 25, when I was 18 I worked at an
animal shelter and stuff, had already alot of affinity with animals, became
more when I worked there for a few months.
Or like Codette says, some spca job would suit me.

[edit] Thats funny, I just read Codettes whole post (I first only saw the spca part)
and all the things she says would be my dream job xD
Actress, spca, freelance graphic designer.... ^__^

What also would be awesome, is to have a rockband. I always wanted
to be a (bass)guitar player... :'D

I'm currently in college studying to get to my dream job, which is to be a college professor teaching English classes. I particularly want to teach a class on dystopian literature.
In the meantime however, I work as a tutor at the Writing Center on my university campus. It is a great experience for me and has really shown me how VERY VERY much I want to teach.

I don't have a job yet, but I really need to find one. I'm a high school student about to finish senior year and head to university, so I need some money, and that means finding a job.

Wow there's a lot of interesting jobs and dream jobs here. ^^ I'm glad you all posted. Makes me feel less alone in the whole job things. I know a lot of my friends don't have jobs and aside from on of my roomies getting a job, me and my husband are the only one that have a paying job to keep this house. Though I understand it can be hard at times to find a job.

Anyway, I'm have to chat with some of you guys! I wanna learn some of this!

So you live in Japan right now huh? I wanna learn some Japanese. It's something I've always wanted to learn. Maybe you can teach me a few things sometime.

That's pretty cool that your family opened up their own business. Is it going alright? I know a lot of family business here where I live are starting to go out of business. :(

I'm currently in my dream job, after 2 years of college courses, working in a kitchen cooking food. Though I'm not a full fledged Chef yet, I will be one day, and then maybe open either a restaurant, or catering business, when I have the money, and the knowledge/experience to do so.

I'm trying to get myself situated to be able to go to college. Hopefully I'd motivate myself to actually start going in the right way, since I really have to anyways. ^^; As for a part-time job, I don't have any. Though I'd love to work but I really can't. Blah~
